La Casa Dei Limoni

A lovely welcoming farmhouse conversion, sitting above the town and offering views and tranquillity as well as good food and well-finished rooms. Breakfast on the terrace with home-made pastries and jams after the ham, eggs and cheese was a particularly pleasant way to start the day. A collation of bruschetti and chilled prosecco set us up for the first evening's tour of the town. It's got wifi if you need it. Valentina and her brother were the perfect hosts, always happy to help.

This was our 30th wedding anniversary, and if we can make the climb at our age anyone can! A super place to stay.

Room Tip: Two of the upper rooms have balconies, which looked nice. The upstairs rooms seem the better choice...

Lovely welcome, perfect room and wonderful surroundings. The walk up the steps is well worth it :)

Just a short walk into to the town with all the restaurants, shops and beaches. Walking distance to the main train station.

My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights at this wonderful B&B. We got a lovely welcome by "the lady off the house;)" with homemade lemonade and fresh baked lemon cake. Wonderful!
The room was big and bright. Everything is newly renovated. The breakfast outside was perfect, and of cause with fresh homemade lemon marmelade and cake.
In fact it is a very romantic place to stay.
The only downsite would, for some, be the long walk up all the stairs; however, you get free exercise after all the fantastic food and wine you have to eat/drink in the cosy historic Monterosso.
I would love to stay there again.

Lovely B&B a bit above Monterosso - some 80 steps to climb but well worth it. Lovely situated in a lemon grove, and whe we arrived we were greeted with fresh lemonade and cake. Nice "junior suite" with balcony with views over Monterosso and the sea.
Do ask for the aperitivo in the garden at least one afternoon if you stay here - perfect chilled white wine and lots of different crostini under the lemon trees...

Room Tip: Ask for one of the rooms with balcony - cost a bit more but worth every cent.

In my opinion, what makes this B&B is the friendly, "make you feel like family" service you receive from Valentina and Massimo! We enjoyed a beautiful three night stay here and used this location to explore the other areas of Cinque Terre. I was extremely happy with our choice. I was torn when it came to which town to stay in, but I really enjoyed Monterosso. It was larger than some of the other towns, complete with great restaurants and tiny, local shops. Our room was a bit small (which I've come to expect from most rooms in Europe), but it had a lovely balcony overlooking the town. Bathroom was a nice size. Breakfast each morning was wonderful - complete with pastries made with fresh lemons from their lemon grove. Although the hike is straight up hill from town, I highly recommend Casa Dei Limoni for your trek through Cinque Terre.

We stayed here for 3 nights while we were visiting Cinque Terre on our honeymoon. Valentina is fantastic. She greeted us with fresh lemonade and when she showed us to our room, surprised us with a complimentary bottle of prosecco and an adorable lemon, heart-shaped cake to celebrate our recent wedding (she remembered this as I noted it in my original email when I enquired about availability). Thoughtful touches like this really made Casa dei Limoni stand out from the other places we stayed in Italy.

We booked the lovely B&B thru GIROSOLE Walking Tours in Italy......www.girosole.com
Upon arrival we were meet by the staff and our walking tour guide. They helped carry our luggage up the uneven stones that switch-back up the steep hill. I recommend they meet everyone at the bottom upon arrival. Would not recommend it for less active travellers.
The charming room was small and very clean. The breakfast was included was great. Lovely view! Staff was excellent.........Valentia was a wonderful hostess. Would do it all over again.
Someone else stated if you are coming to Cinque Terre you should be prepared to do a lot of walking/hiking this is the only way you will truly appreciate the beautify of it all. Monterosso is a very charming little village!!
