La Casa di Andrea was our second stop in Italy and definitely my favorite! Staying at Carola's B&B was like staying at your cool big sister's house. First the location was perfect in the middle of the town (and climbing all those stairs to the B&B will be a walk in the park after a hike around Cinque Terre!) - besides her husband was so kind to help my boyfriend out with the luggage. The building is brightly colored and is perched atop a hill overlooking the rooftops of beautiful Monterosso. The rooms were recently renovated and are modern and beautiful with stylish grey wood and little touches of home spread throughout. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower was amazing...we basically slept like babies in that room. The breakfast in the garden was plentiful and delicious (and she even had gluten free rice cakes for me to enjoy my Nutella!)
But probably the best part of the stay was Carola's service throughout: we accidentally left our passports in the safety box and only realized it once we got to Tuscany (2.5hr train ride away). We called Carola, and she was quickly able to mail them to our next location with overnight service, and refused to accept money for the mailing. What a sweetheart!
If you are staying in Monterosso, you HAVE to stay at Casa di Andrea!

Spent 4 nights here in August and highly, highly recommend La Casa di Andrea. The owner, Carola, could not do enough for us. She was very responsive and helpful when booking the room. Her husband came to the train station to meet us to help us with luggage and make sure we made it to the property. We arrived about 9am and were pleasantly surprised to be able to check into our room right away.
The breakfast each morning was delicious - fresh squeezed orange juice, freshly made cappuccino, homemade breads, fruit, yogurt, cheeses, etc. You won't leave hungry! Every day Carola provided us with great suggestions and recommendations to make the most of our stay (from hikes, to kayaking, to the place to find the best focaccia in town).
The property itself is really incredible. Everything is clean, modern, and very comfortable. You really do feel like you are going home at the end of the day.
Monterosso was a great place to base ourselves while visiting Cinque Terre. The old town section is relaxing yet there is plenty to do and a number of really fantastic restaurants. It is also extremely easy to get to any of the other 4 Cinque Terre towns by boat or train and to go hiking. Look forward to a return trip to La Casa di Andrea someday.

As long as you don't let the stairs get you down, this is a perfect place to stay. The room was newly remodeled, the bed was super comfie, and the shower was amazing. Carola and her husband even got up early to say goodbye and help carry our luggage down the stairs for our 6am train to Venice. This was the least expensive hotel we visited during our trip to Italy and definitely afforded similar comforts to the pricier hotels we visited in bigger cities. Monterosso is beautiful and the people were so welcoming. Our time in Cinque Terre was definitely a highlight of our trip!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights, two weeks in to a long trip around Europe.
We followed the email instructions to get to the hotel from Monterosso train station and were standing in the centre square looking lost when Carola and her husband Oscar approached us. Oscar grabbed my 25kg suitcase and carried it up about a gazillion stairs for me (at least 50!).
I was thrilled the second we walked into our room. After two weeks of somewhat dodgy hotel rooms, the sight of a brand new queen size bed and actual shower with waterfall shower-head nearly brought me to tears.
Carola was a magnificent host! She took time to recommend restaurants to us and give us advice on walking around the Cinque Terre the following day. Breakfast was included in the room price and was delightful, served on the sunny patio overlooking old Monterosso village. There was plenty of cereal, fruit, yoghurts and breads, with a coffee offered as soon as you arrived.
On both nights we slept extremely well in very comfortable beds under soft, clean linen.
If you are travelling to the Cinque Terre, THIS IS WHERE YOU NEED TO STAY!!!!! It was our most expensive hotel for the trip but worth every penny. I can't recommend it enough!

This is the most perfect boutique hotel in the adorable village of Monterosso. It was truly an amazing experience staying here, but what made it even more amazing is the wonderful, warm hospitality and charm that Carola and her family offered. Highly recommend, probably the best hotel / B&B of all in Monterosso.

We spent 3 nights at the beautiful Casa di Andrea. Our stay was made special by the terrific hostess, Carola, her warm hospitality and her super helpful tips (on everything spanning restaurants, activities, places to visit and even weather forecasts!!).
The house is conveniently located few steps away from Monterosso town centre (as well as the harbour and the station), away from the tourists buzz. Very recently renovated, the room was spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable with great shower as well as access to a lovely garden.
Last but not least, Carola's breakfasts are the perfect way to start your day!
Would definitely recommend this place and come back on our next trip to 5 terre...Grazie mille!!

We stayed 3 night at la casa di Andrea and it was absolutely wonderful. Situated above the main piazza it away from the hustle and bustle and provides a perfect sanctuary.

The rooms are modern and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic.

Highly recommended :)
