What a cute little find this wine bar is! We were able to sit in warmth (raining outside) planning the rest of our journey on the free wifi sipping on delicious lemonchello granita. We did not order food but were not made to feel uncomfortable using their wifi with one granita between the two of us! Great for backpackers :)

During a week in the Italian Riviera, we made sure to visit the wonderful towns that make up Cinque Terre. Our first stop was Monterosso, and as we were finishing up our visit there, we happened upon La Cantina del Pescatore. What a delightful place.
We enjoyed the wine, the atmosphere, and two scrumptious stuffed focaccia sandwiches for lunch. Our host, Simon, made us feel right at home, and as we left that first day, we decided we just HAD to return another day.
We did, and this time the food and atmosphere was just as wonderful as the first visit. We ended up purchasing several items to bring back to friends and family, and when we return to Cinque Terre, we will ALWAYS have lunch at La Cantina del Pescatore.

My friends and I arrived in Monterosso and almost immediately began looking for WiFi to update our friends and families at home on the details of our trip. We stumbled upon this cute little shop and were immediately impressed with the service and simple, but delicious, selection of food, wine and ... of course... cappuccino. Veronica and Simone are a friendly couple who own and operate this business. I really enjoyed the intimate and local feel of La Cantina del Pescatore, while still having staff that spoke enough english to make conversation. Over the six days we spent in Monterosso, we came to this little shop twice a day. I highly recommend this place!

My friends and I ran across this lovely little cafe while exploring Monterosso on our first day in town. We stopped in initally to have a cappuccino and to use the free wifi for customers. (Wifi is somewhat limited in Cinque Terre, but we hear that's going to be changing...) We were greeted warmly by Veronica and Simon and made to feel like we were at a friend's place rather than in a business. We have come back each morning for coffee and each evening for a glass of wine and a little something to eat. I have really enjoyed everything we've had here, and more importantly, the friendly welcome each time we darken their doorstep. :) Don't miss this great little place when visiting Monterosso!

We stopped in this café/bar/shop for a quick and inexpensive lunch. We were welcomed to a comfortable table in the back and offered an English menu. The offerings are simple, but fresh, delicious, and priced right. I had a tuna focaccia and my husband had ham & cheese. Both came to the table warm and tasty. Washed lunch down with Moretti Beer and some water and we were ready to navigate the steps and hills of the Cinque Terre! All for around 15 Euros! Also, was easy to order in English!
