Very friendly service by hostest, Christina. 5 minute walk from Monteresso town (10 minute to train station). We stayed for 2 nights. Breakfast was poor - coissants (not fresh), yogurt, packet cereal, biscuits and fruit (kiwi, apple and banana all not ripe) but good choice of coffee's with breakfast. Do not go if have any special dietary requirements. Rooms are clean & serve basic purpose if not staying for more than 2 nights and using hotel as a 'base' only. Bedroom walls are very thin (all 3 rooms are next to each other) and we had a baby on one side and a couple on the other side - you can hear everything and we had a terrible nights sleep both nights. Christina is very friendly and welcoming, however would not stay again due to poor breakfast, noisy rooms and would stay in Varnazza (town next to Monterosso) as is far more quaint, full of character and charm with small side streets typical of photos's displaying brightly coloured houses, small alley ways and charming restaurants. Monterosso is by comparison very disappointing due to poor restaurants, no character, dirty and rather grey and dull as far more commercial.

Room Tip: Check if family's with children/babies a staying at same time as bedroom walls are so thin.

We loved our stay here. Great room and great bathroom. Nice views from the balcony over the sea. The breakfast included a BEAUTIFUL breakfast pastry, yogurt, granola, and coffee. Cristina was very nice and helpful. She recommended some nice things. We really liked how clean and modern the rooms were.

The only negatives are: the walk uphill without a sidewalk from town

We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of October. Cristina is lovely, and gives lots of good recommendations for restaurants. Our room was quite small and basic, but adequate. The bathroom is nice. Could do with wifi, but otherwise no complaints. Price is ok.

Unfortunately the coastal paths were closed when we were there, but ask around if this is the case as there are lots of other routes for walking.

We had a lovely two night stay at Villa Cristina - the accommodation is very clean and comfortable and the air conditioning is wonderful after the hike uphill from the train station with cases and rucksacks! Cristina is a fabulous hostess and she gave us some great advice on places to visit and restaurants to eat at. We didn't have breakfast as we wanted to make the most of our short time in the area, but this wasn't a hardship as there's a great bakery at the foot of the hill anyway.

I would definitely recommend Villa Cristina to others and wouldn't hesitate to stay there if we decide to revisit Cinque Terre in the future.

Villa Cristina is a great little spot if you are looking for a quiet locale in Monterosso.
We stayed at The B&B for three nights while touring Cinque Terre. The room we stayed in was very clean and had all the modern needs that one would require (tv, air conditioning, etc). The one thing missing is wifi. In order to get Internet access we needed to go into the old town which is a short walk away. The views from the terrace were also great. Many a glass of wine were consumed looking out at the sea during our three days!

Cristina is a great host, who really tries to answer all your questions as best as she can. She even provided us with beach towels as we forgot to bring our own!

Breakfast was tasty but as other reviewers mentioned quite sweet. Mind you, it seems like most Italian breakfasts are pastries full of creams and chocolate. Some fresh fruit would really round out the menu.

We would definitely recommend Villa Cristina!

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Cristina! The host, Cristina, is kind and welcoming. The rooms are modern, air conditioned and clean. The two patios are great for relaxing - especially after hiking up the road to the place. It's about a 10 minute walk from the train station, but uphill with a 30 pound backpack in 30+ weather is tough. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and recommend the place. Breakfast is a bit sweet (could use some meat and cheese), but overall great!

This is a nice place to stay in Monterosso but for $100 euros per night I think it is overpriced. It is about a 15 minute walk to the old town. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is very good but not a great location. The rooms are very modern not typical European decor. Cristina is wonderful. There is a little bit of a view to the sea but I would not call it a "great view".
