“Amazing location, food is good”

Absolutely unique and axing location in an old fishing house and above in the pedestrian promenade between old and new Monterrrosso. Although the food is better than average and really fresh, this is also trying to be posh, without delivering the great flavours of 'classic Italian homy food'. the staff could be smily...

“Can't beat the view”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2012

We ate on the terrace overlooking the sea and enjoyed a wonderful dinner with an amazing view. Sitting inside the restaurant would be wonderful too. The service was friendly and it was easy for us as non Italian speakers to get along.

“gorgeous view-need reservation for outside.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2012

very unique location in a rock wall hugging the sea. outdoor seating overlooks the sunset and water below. really special. service outside a little slower as staff has to keep going down to restaurant and then back upstairs to the outside seating area.

“Wonderful view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2012

We were recommended to try this restaurant. It basically is a cavity inside the cliff face. Quite remarkable. You can also have your dinner outside on the terrace up further. We would have preferred this, but the weather threatened rain. The food was pretty good and very tasty. Loved the fried bread and the waitress was kind enough to offer us more. We both had a pasta dish which was great. I would recommend this restaurant for the experience.

“Good local fare with views of the sea”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2012

Miky was closed on our last evening here so we tried this restaurant. My spouse had pasta stuffed with local pesto with lobster. She mistakenly thought the lobster was part of the stuffing, but it was served on the shell with it, not in it. She had the local sea bass which was served whole and had to be boned. No problem for her, but you may want to ask your waitress to do it for you. Best to ask in advance what you're getting to set expectations appropriately. I had a vegetable lasagne stuffed with pumpkin, mushrooms and cheese. It was very light but bland to my taste. My main dish, braised octypus, on the other hand was spicy and done to perfection. We had a Montapalcino which went well with the meal. Service was attentive, but not particularly informative of the dining options.
