“Great risotto and pasta, but seafood a little spendy”
Reviewed May 3, 2014

The seafood risotto and pesto pasta were fantastic. The pesto was some of the freshest and tastiest we've ever had.

I got the freshly grilled shrimp, and while delicious, it was only 5 shrimp. For 20 Euro, that's not a whole lot of food, so it felt like they were a little bit overpriced for what you get.

“Formidable”
Reviewed April 29, 2014

We had lunch here because it was busy and somehow not so touristy. What a great selection, we had the Ravioli di pesce con sugo di gamberetti and vini from Cinque Terre. It was delicious, one of the best meals we had in our hole trip to italy.

“Wonderful food and experience”
Reviewed April 13, 2014 via mobile

Our group of 8 friends enjoyed a Sunday lunch at Ciak. We ordered the spaghetti with seafood for 3, and the risotto with seafood for 3, hoping to share both dishes among the 8 of us. Our waiter kindly divided both dishes up for us. The food was very tasty. The seafood was very fresh. The restaurant was busy, and service was good. We'd return, for sure!

“Fine meal”

Royal treatment, best gnocchi ever (my daughter), lots of food, no one hungry, typical Ligurian menu... Excellent seafood served hot!

“Delicious, Traditional Italian Food”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

The restaurant has a modern, yet traditional Italian atmosphere, which you can immediately sense the moment you step inside the door. There is also the option to enjoy the temperate Ligurian weather, and eat outside at one of the quaint tables set up with a view onto the street.
At the back of the restaurant are the grills and stoves, as well as the sinks full of ice where they display the catches of the day (the evening we ate here there were many large fish, jumbo prawns and a swordfish head on display) which makes for some neat pictures, and stories back home!
The chef, Luigi Corciulo, is a very kind man who will gladly take pictures or chat with you, same with all of the amazing staff.
The menu is traditional Italian format, Antipasti, Primo Piatti, Seconde Piastre, Formaggi e Carne, Dolce (and Vini of course!). We ordered a few tasty Antipasti, seafood ravioli (the best dish of my life) and spaghetti al pesto for Primi, catch of the day ("Pesci del Giorno") for Secondi and homemade pie for dessert. I can full-heartedly say that this was the best meal of my life.
We also had an amazing waitress, who knew a lot about our native Canada, and had been in the process of planning a trip here.
Of the many choices for restaurants in Monterosso al Mare, Ristorante Ciak is an absolute must (as well as the seafood ravioli).

Grazie mille! Ciao!
