My daughter and I visited the Cinque Terre area of Italy this March. Although the villages were mostly deserted (off season and rain), we happened upon this restaurant. What a find! We had mussels, which arrived at our table in a steaming pot and dished out tableside; pesto pasta; swordfish. The food was excellent and the service perfecto! Can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. Wish we were in town long enough to go back.

My mom and I were visiting the Cinque Terre during the off-season and stumbled into this restaurant because most others were closed. We were the only diners there so we didn't know what to expect. But it was DELICIOUS. Seriously, yum. The mussles were to die for. It was slightly pricy, but a good vay-cay splurge. I highly recommend this restaurant and the chic black and white decor was a nice change from other Italian restaurants. The only thing is that I would have expected slightly more attentive service since there were no other diners, but I think that might just be an italian thing.

Ciak cooks in these big clay dishes directly on the stove. The pastas are fresh and the sauce is truly AMAZING. He has a great wine selection and cellar in the floor. It is convenient to the train station and you can watch him cook while walking on the street through a small window.

Both the Ravioli with shrimp and the Seafood Rissotto were to die for. Anything on the menu that comes with a clay pot is worth eating.

We arrived there around six pm and the Chef let us in although they were not opening until 6:30 pm.
We had their "Shellfish Risotto for two" which was just delicious. We also had giant shrimps and fish that were so fresh we thought they were caught no more than an our ago. Be aware that sides dishes have to be ordered separately.
We drank a local white wine that was just crisp and perfectly matched with our food.
A bit expensive but good value for your money.
