“Simply the best.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2013

We had lunch at Trattoria La Scogliera to get out of the rain. Unbeknown to us, we were about to taste the best ravioli ever. We ordered the anchovy salad, gnocchi in pesto, salmon ravioli and pasta al mare. All were delicious. But the salmon ravioli was just incredible !. The sauce has a intense salmon flavor yet it is not fishy. Service was reasonably fast despite the lunch crowd. With a half liter wine and bottle water, our total bill came to a reasonable 42 Euros. Exiting the restaurant, we agreed that we might have accidently just eat at the best Italian restaurant ever.

“Ask for Roberto”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

We had the sea bass which would have been terrific but I don't like the whole fish (with bones) so that was the only bad part. The service by Roberto was absolutely wonderful! And the seating out on the balcony was very nice. Would definitely go back.

“Local classic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

Yes, this trattoria is in a busy tourist-trap street of Manarola but it is heartily recommended. For lunch I requested something local and traditional, and the waiter suggested a Ligurian bean soup... when it was served it looked fairly ordinary but wow, it tasted fantastic. Well priced, easy to find, friendly and efficient.

“Wonderful restaurant and friendly staff”

We just happened upon La Scogliera, but it was our good fortune. The food was very good and the service was great. Our waiter even joked around with us a bit. There was a good crowed and everyone seemed to be enjoying their experience as much as we were. A few tables were even talking to each other making friends. It was a great dining experience.

“Great food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2012

We went here twice during our week stay in Cinque Terre (we stayed in Manarola). It appeared to be a family-run restaurant. The food was excellent. They recognized us and remembered our names during our second visit. Definitely worth your time! Food was affordably priced, too.
