“Best food and service in te Cinque Terre”
Reviewed July 22, 2014 via mobile

We were recommended to eat at Dal Billy by our accommodation an told to make a reservation one day in advance (thank god we did). We hadn't read up about it at all but thought we would give it a go for our final night in the Cinque Terra.

WOW, how we were pleasantly surprised. It started with amazing service from a wonderfully funny waiter who had great suggestions, and then the food came... We had a lot of fresh seafood and tried the restaurants home made pasta, it was incredible. We even managed to fit in dessert and had the best Tiramasu man has ever tasted.

To top it all off it was a reasonably priced meal with a great view a Manarola. It's a must do!

“Lovely for special occasion”

Had the wonderful seafood appetiser, then fresh fish and salad. Yes it was a bit pricy but well worth it.

“Must go!”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

Simply superb in every way. The view is unbeatable. The view is epic. The service is first-rate. Alberto is the nicest and most quietly charming waiter you'll ever meet. Don't miss the 12-course appetizer or the sciacchetra' dessert. Worth the price.

“Go for dinner, and the view”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

We had a great meal here while we were in the Cinque Terre. The Al Mare appetizer is a must if you like a variety of seafood, and the lobster pasta was decadent.

Our view wasn't great, but we arrived at 7pm without a reservation during busy season so that's totally our fault. I highly recommend making a reservation way ahead, and asking for the semi-private table overlooking the ocean. I wish we had reserved that setting!

“Beautiful lunch”
Reviewed July 17, 2014

We read the reviews about this restaurant on tripadvisor before we went to Italy on our honeymoon and knew we had to visit. However, finding this restaurant was an adventure in itself. We used google maps to help us and it was useless. We started wondering up the windy side streets and ended up in the apts of a few private homes before we finally found the restaurant up a hill.

Luckily we made a reservation before we got there because the restaurant was packed. We were lucky to score a corner table on the balcony over looking the whole down.

The food here was great, except the fact that most of the dishes I wanted to try was for two people. What happened to small portions in Europe? Since it was our honeymoon, we decided to pig out and ordered everything we possibly can. We ended up sharing with the diner at the next table and made friends.

Oh, and this was the only place in Italy that actually offered us free limoncello.
