This centrally-located hotel offers very comfortable rooms. We stayed on the very top floor (no elevator but the host carried one of our suitcases up). Our room had a kitchenette (with beverages in teh fridge) and a large bathroom (though the shower was small). Each room is named for a different kind of wood.
Breakfast was terrific--fresh, flaky croissants as well as a variety of bread, cheeses, meats and fruit. Made-to-order cappucino. Yogurt, cereal and fruit. A wonderful way to start the day! The cozy eating area features a library of books on design and art.
The hosts were gracious and helpful, providing restaurant recommendations and sight-seeing ideas and arranged for a taxi when we departed. Their hospitality gives us warm memories of our time in Trieste!More
