Our hotel recommended this traditional Trieste seafood restaurant. From the moment we entered we were welcomed and made at home. It appeared that we were the only English speakers in the room which added to our enjoyment. The staff had limited English but made the effort and it was not an issue. The rest of the diners seemed to be locals, judging by the welcomes and farewells. There was a variety of fish and seafood. We were given a glass of Prosecco to start. We then had a combination of food on a "tasting plate" which our waiter offered us. We had a very pleasant night, with good food, good surroundings and friendly and efficient staff. Would highly recommend.
