“Really nice”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

We stopped there for few days whilst staying to watch volleyball world cup. Its very nice place with friendly staff. Very nice balcony- the bad thing the view was on a road :(
I would def come back there.
Very close to the city centre, and a food shop just on the corner.

Stayed in a a single person studio for 3 days as I was attending a coffee expo nearby. Chose Le Terrazze based on it's location from the central train station (5 mins by foot), Piazza della Unita' (10 mins) and 18 bus (10 mins) taking you to the Expo (10 minute ride). Studio was very spacious which included a kitchen and a tall fridge. The bathroom was large, however the shower was quite small. There was TV only transmitting italian channels.

Reception service was very good.

There was no daily maid service which means one needs to take out the trash on daily basis (trash bins are 25 meters down the road). No breakfast included in the price, however, there are two cafes nearby. Reception is only open until 20:30h so it is advisable to inform reception if you're arriving late.

There is a vending machine downstairs, selling water and snacks.

Recommended by its size, location and price. Will return.

Room Tip: Rooms not facing Via Filzi are quieter.

Three friends and I shared the Suite Superior room on the top (8th) floor, and it was great. Perhaps the best thing was the amazing view from the huge balcony. The balcony itself was about the size of the apartment, and the apartment was pretty big. There's also a laundry room with a washer machine, a kitchen with a fridge/freezer, stove, range, and dishes/utensils. The place was also a great deal: 160 euro / night split between four people.

My only caution is that the website in English states "Quadruple Room," which we interpreted as having four bedrooms. There's actually only one bedroom. Quadruple means it can accommodate four people. This wasn't a problem for us since two of my friends are married, so they shared the bedroom, I took the couch bed (which is Queen size when extended), and my other friend used a cot, which the nice lady at the front desk was kind enough to bring up.

Overall a great experience. I would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Trieste.

Room Tip: Ask for the top (8th) floor if you want the large balcony

This is an apartment rental, different from a hotel. There is lots of space, my partner and I had stunning views from our 6th floor space, and it's very comfortable. The kitchen and washing machine were great conveniences. We stayed here for 5 nights midway through a 2-week trip, and were able to wash and hang-dry our clothes, which cut in half the amount of clothing we needed to bring. There is no daily service, which means your apartment is yours alone during your stay.
The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the location is ideal (5 minutes walk from the train station, easy walk to the main Piazza Unita d'Italia). There are cafes and bars, and some restaurants, all along the way into the piazza and the old part of town. It's also not far to go on to the many restaurants along the shore beyond the Piazza Unita d'Italia and scattered throughout the old town.
The layout can be slightly funky (our bathroom door bumped into the sleeper sofa, and opening the washing machine door was limited by the bidet next to it), but overall, the space was set up very well.
For the space, location and price, these apartments are a bargain. Trieste is also a great spot for day trips into Slovenia and Croatia; transit options are sketchy outside the high season of summer, but busses run to Rijeka (Croatian Kvarner coast) and Porec/Rovinj/Pula (Croatian Istrian peninsula) weekdays. One recommended trip: take the bus to Opatija (on the way to Rijeka) and walk the seaside promenade to Volosko for lunch at Konoba Tramerka or nearby Skalinada. It's beautiful, and the seafood in particular - pulled that day from the crystal clear Adriatic in this area - is amazing. You can either walk back to Opatija to catch the return bus to Trieste, or take a local bus from Volosko back into Opatija (they run from the main road at the top of the hill above the restaurants). If you have time, sit at one of the seaside cafes and have a beer or glass of excellent local wine. If you go during the summer, there are hydrofoil boats that travel to Porec, Rovinj and Pula several times a day on the weekends (Ustica lines).
Note that Croatia is not yet part of the E.U. and still has its own currency (the kuna) - they are slated to join in 2013, which is somewhat contentious among some Croats. Slovenia is already part of the E.U. so euros work there.

Room Tip: Upper floors (5, 6, 7) have best views

great apartements, good quality furnished, enough space, excellent service level, good price-quality, outstanding location, quiet especially above 5th floor or inside.
They do have car boxes at €10 a day if you are lucky if not, as everywhere in Trieste you need to be a bit creative in finding parking place, Parking Molo iV is a valid option.
I will certainly go back.

Room Tip: I know apartment 532 and it was very good. I do think all apartments are the same level though.
