“a successful formula: design with gastronomy”

This is a very nice location, only Italian people can make. The food is also a "designed" creature in its taste and presentation. We degustate a beautiful red wine.

“Classy, excellent food, wonderful service, out of the way. It is a gem in the heart of Trieste.”
Reviewed September 30, 2011

We were at the bus station and wanted to eat something as far from bus station food as possible. This was it. The patrons were better dressed than we weary travelers, but the host sat us down and treated us well. The owner/manager grew up in Massachusetts and speaks perfect English. She helped clarify the menu, and made suggestions.
The food was exquisite. We spend 5 days in Venice, and this food was as good as anything we ate there.

“This is a "must-do" restaurant for food lovers”
Reviewed July 12, 2011

My wife and I ate here one evening in late June, 2011, during our five-day stay in Trieste.

We ditto everything the previous reviews said, and then some, as we were the first diners to arrive that nite (early Americans!) and had a lot of time, attention and nice conversation with Michelle, who runs the front of the place, about its development (the building was an old stables!).

We both ordered the small gourmet dinner--in which the chef cooks what he wants and you eat it. It was a truly memorable meal. I ordered the least expensive wine on the menu, because it had seen it in the nearby Bosco market. It was a Tuscan white, from San Giminganano (sp?). Turned out that Michelle's brother is a winemaker and it was his wine. Small world.

Anyway, go, it will be a highlight of your stay.

“A Place For Gourments”
Reviewed June 26, 2011

Romantic. Styllish. Exquisite.
We found this place by chance from a brochure picked at our hotel. Located in the center of Trieste, but a little away from the common touristically-oriented resraurants. Cozy atmosphere with specially selected regional Italian wine and a meal prepared with love and high taste.... that's what we found there! The prices are as u would imagine a little higher than in an average restaurant but totally worse it!
To our surprise the staff didn't speak English but was pretty helpful and well-trained. For the choice of our meal we were advised by the chef himself! Simply delicious! Perfect place for special occasions and people that value quality over quantity!

“Excellent”

Haute Cuisine at a small restaurant off the beaten tracks in trieste. Very charming decor and ambiente, the staff very friendly. Every dish is created with love and fantasy. From fish to meat or vegetarian, eveybody's taste will be fulfilled. Besides they have an excellent wine list. And the price? Very good price for italian haute cuisine!
