Giovanna, Ricardo and Phillipo, were really great hosts and genuinely lovely people who could not have been more helpful. Rightly very proud of their City.
Loads of room, would request a rear room as there is some early morning activity noise, but hey it's a residential area, no night noise though, very quiet.
Literally a 5 minute stroll to the centre, same for pretty much all the main sites, especially Galla Pacidia, a must see.
Amazing home baked cakes and biscotti, altro complimenti.
Honest, well priced and located residence and topped of with the opportunity of meeting the family.

Room tip: Request a rear room with balcony, though don't be put off in staying at the front.

We stayed at Aca'demia for four nights, and felt at home from the moment we arrived. We expected a room, but found that we had a suite with bedroom, shower room, sitting room (with piano) and a huge terrace overlooking the garden. During the day the only sound was birdsong; at night it was totally silent and completely dark, the only conditions under which I can enjoy a good night's sleep. What a refreshing change from many hotels with lights dotted around the room, on TVs for example, that cannot be turned off!

The owners of this little hotel really go out of their way to make your stay special. We told them we are vegan, and they baked us delicious apple, almond and cinnamon cakes for breakfast, and provided a choice of plant milks, in addition to the cereal, bread and fresh fruit that came as standard.

The decor is homely and original, with artworks by the family on every wall. At the end of our stay we were still discovering new things. Look at the table legs to see the leaves climbing up them.

And the location for visiting all the historical sights of Ravenna is perfect, just a few minutes' walk from the centre, a few minutes more to the railway station.

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay, and recommend Aca'demia without hesitation. It's our kind of place - small, original, personal, tranquil.

Interesting location yet old and smelly room especially when there 2 night .. breakfast was very extended to Italian norms. Owners having a party limited sleep to 2 teens a lot. Would not recommend for more then 1 night stay over on your way to a better destination. Ravenna was worth a detour great historical sites

Wonderfully located, where everything you need is within walking distance. The bed and breakfast is absolutely gorgeous (inside and out) with a charming courtyard and paintings/artwork from one of the staff throughout the property. One of the main ones in our suite was reminiscent of Degas' Ballerinas, which was breathtaking. The breakfast is a very traditional Italian breakfast-- yogurt, pastries, some light meats, and I presume, fruit if seasonal. Easily one of the most personal, independent, and charming places I've stayed at.

We loved our 2 night stay in this quaint old house in an amazing location in Ravenna. You can walk to all the major attractions & there are plenty of great restaurants in the old town for dining in the evening.
The rooms are quirky & clean - & the decor was refreshing & different for a change!
The hosts are very friendly & go out of their way to accommodate your every need - including a lift to the station on our departure! This place is a great find & highly recommended!
