Very beautiful XVII century theater, located near Picture Gallery (same ticket). The main point of interest in Parma.

Quite a awe inspiring place. Did not expect the size of a theater. Good place to spend half an hour. In the middle of the city

The theatre is tricky to find because it is inside the Palazzo Pilotta. The entry ticket includes two other museums in the Palazzo. In the theatre there is just one place to stand and view, you can't wander around. It is an amazing space, oval shaped and made of wood with a proscenium stage at one end. It's a great experience.

We saw an excellent opera performance here. I think they give tours of the opera house but do yourself a favor and see an opera there.

The Teatro Farnese is an impressive to see old Theatre, in 2018 it will be 400 years old, yes that is old and still functional. So this itself is impressive especially as you can see also how it is build from the back. But on top of that you can visit the National Gallery style that in London would attrack Millions of people and here you can be almost alone wondering around. Very impressive, only shame that not everyting is commented in English, then again it may improve your knowledge of Italian Language. All in all, Parma is nice to visit without Mass Tourism around you as you may get in Milan, Rome or Pisa.
