“Lovely cathedral”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2014

Look, cathedrals are cathedrals, but each one is unique and distinct. This one has, by far, more frescoes than I have recently seen in a cathedral. It is free to enter, and a small 2 euro donation lights the frescoes so you can take better pictures. The stained glass windows are also lovely. There is no reason to miss this if you are in Parma.

“It's a cathedral”

The frescos are very pretty, but you have to pony up 2 euros for them to be lit up.
Besides those, there's not too much of interest.

“Very nice”

The architecture is fantastic, specially the old church in romanic style. I consider this monument a piece of Italian history very important. It is to see with much attention

This Cathedral is a must in Parma, really nice outside and inside. A lot of light comming throug the ceiling that makes more impressive your visit.

“They are all different, but all the same.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2013

The Cattedrale di Parma is a lovely place, but my husband and I have seem countless cathedrals in countless towns over the years and very few remain in memory over time. In a way, they are all the same, like castles. There are a few that stand out, but most fall into the category of "just another cathedral", beautiful in its own way but not worth going out of your way for. Since we walked past the cathedral a couple times each day to get to our lodgings, it was an easy visit, and lovely enough to go inside on two separate occasions to admire the tranquil space and beautifully paintings, but unless you are a great fan of cathedrals, it is not worth a big detour to see.
