La Greppia is a old style classy place with all male waiters in tight uniforms. The restaurants is located on the main shopping street of Parma yet is an island of quiet. Everyone spoke in hushed voices providing a relaxed atmosphere and privacy to everyone. All tables are covered with starched white linen. The menu is dominated by mostly parma meats but they did have a lobster pasta special on the day we dined there. We started with a platter of four different parmigiano cheeses (aged 12, 24 and 36 months) and a cold cut platter of prosciutto, parma ham and pepper salami. Both were lovely. As mains we picked the local rack of lamb and beef fillet which were both cooked to perfection. The waiter recommended a nice local red (Sangiovese) that matched the food very well. Togehter with two bottles of Pellegrino the check came to under €100 which was very reasonable for the food and service quality. Highly recommended.
