Peeling ceiling in the bathroom, absolutely filthy carpet in the bedroom, clogged shower drain, room had the worst view possible, just gross. We saw that there are a lot nicer, newer places to stay in Maranello. Not up to anyone's standards, especially Best Western's.

Room was pleasant and comfortable, good sized bed, lovely huge jacuzzi bath/shower although the instructions were only in Italian and I couldn't get the jacuzzi shower to work. Air conditioning was a bit lame, it was an individual unit below the window, there was a lot of mould around the wall near it and it did smell quite damp and musty (maybe the room hadn't been used for a while?) although it did the job of stopping us from getting too hot overnight.

The hotel restaurant was absolutely superb. The place was jam packed on a sunday night, with plenty of people also coming in for takeaways. I don't think there were many guests at the hotel so they must have been locals. We paid around 30 euros for a really decent dinner - delicious desserts too! The house wine was also really tasty and very cheap. Service was very good, restaurant staff were friendly and efficient and although their English was variable, they have an English menu and it was easy enough to get by.

Breakfast was a bit lame, but then we often found it was in Italy so I don't think that's anything particularly bad about this hotel. The tea in particular was really dreadful - not weak, just an odd flavour like the really really cheap UK teabags you can get. Not nice at all if you're a classic British tea lover (take your own British bags and just ask for boiling water!)

"Small car park" was a bit of an overstatement - it was really a rear yard, also being used by the builders refurbishing the bathrooms, and there was room for about 4 cars. We had to ask the builders to move their lorry so we could get out, and had to clear the space of debris, bits of metal etc before parking. There is however a massive free car park in the village square directly out the front (but not on Wednesdays - market day!) and the area itself seemed fairly safe.

Ferrari museum (I guess that's why most people would be going here!) was about a 10 minute walk away, so nice and convenient for that too.

Would I stay here again? I think I would look at reviews for other local hotels first - I wouldn't immediately rush back unless other hotels had worse reviews. I would definitely make a trip back to the restaurant though!

Great Hotel, Great place for Ferrari history, the hotel is in the middle of the town and marketsquare, has a private carpark and in the restaurant next to the hotel the best pizza's in italy are beiing made !! We have been in hotel Domus many years now (since 1995) and we will never try another hotel.
