It's original Italian food. The selfmade fresh pastas are the best. You can even sit outside, but the restaurant is also beautifull. A menu will be provided to you, but don't bother reading it. La Mamma will take a seat and explain to you in short what the best pastas are and how she made them. No matter what you choose, it's going to be the best pasta in town! Enjoy! M&F

We were lucky to get a lunch booking at La Traviata as the night before the restaurant was fully booked.
Fabulous stuffed zucchini to begin and then 3 different fresh pastas: ravioli with pumpkin, fettuccine with mushroom and penne with asparagus and ricotta!!! All our meal was on the recommendation of the owner and was one of the best of our Italian holiday. Add a great atmosphere( someone was hosting a party) and a nice bottle of Italian wine. Finished with a complimentary lemonello. Time for a siesta:)

We were only in Bologna 2 days but loved the city. This restaurant was recommended by our hotal and the food was the best Ihave eaten for a long time. The pasta was heavenly and all the food suggested by our hosts worked so well. Our Italian is limited but they were so hospitable. If I go back to the city I will certainly revisit it.

We ate here on our second night in Bologna (based on the restaurant's reviews on TripAdvisor). We were not disappointed! The owner - who speaks excellent English - recommended some excellent dishes for us: deep fired courgette flower stuffed with ricotta, fresh pasta with prawns (freshly arrived from Sicily) and courgette, and roast suckling pig with amazing rosemary and lemon roast potatoes. The meal was washed down with a delicious - and reasonably priced - white and the owner took the time to talk through the different types of grappa with us and make a recommendation. Great food, friendly, attentive service and a lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely return!
