Traveling to Florence we stopped at the Drogheria Della Rosa for a late lunch. The restaurant was closing but the owner Emanuele insisted we stay for lunch and made us one of the best fillet steaks we have had. Done in a balsamic vinegar and peppers it was tender and went down very well. We spent a number of hours chatting to locals and Emanuele about Bologna, its history, our home town in New Zealand and the celebrities that have dined at the restaurant. If you are looking for excellent food and a friendly chat while in Bologna then dine with Emanuele.
