Thanks very much to friendly staff one of the best foodie places on our Europe trip. Bologna itself is nothing fancy but this is the best hotel in town. We stayed so we could go to the Ducati factory about 20 minutes taxi ride. We had a balcony room with views to the pool the largest balcony like a terrace it was almost 10 meters long. It was about 15 Euro taxi from train station/town. We used it as a base to visit Venice too it was only 1 1.5 hr trip on the train.

The restaurant food is just brilliant the pasta desserts everything amazing! We had a balcony room and there were some functions / conferences on when we were there so the noise from the outdoor alfresco area might bother some people. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. they even packed us takeaway breakfast when we left since we had to catch an early 6:30am train. I wouldnt stay anywhere else in Bologna a beautiful hotel.

Room Tip: Not much extra to upgrade to a terrace room worth it for the massive balcony.

We stayed one night in this hotel. The people working around the pool were very friendly towards the children , let them play when it was probably shut for the day! Breakfast was amazing , kids couldn't believe there was trifle !!
All in all , would definitely recommend to friends.

I have been to the Savoia hotel in two different occasions, both were for work, both times I was there to organize a Company event. I have to say that staff is extremely helpful and nice, food is really good (albeit they don't serve a lot of it!) the rooms are clean and spacious and bright. the space is vast, elegant, discrete. Everyone i was involved with during my 2 days there was professional and polite. The Savoia Regency is also quite easy to reach from the town center, there's a taxi service but also the bus, so even if you're on holiday, I suggest you opt for this location and its exquisite service, rather than staying right in the middle of Bologna city, which can be a bit chaotic at times. There's also a nice park right by the hotel where one can jog (the hotel gym is a bit small). Overall a very good experience and i strongly recommend this hotel

Stayed here one night before connecting to Blq airport. Taxi costs little less than 20€ to the airport, ride takes about 15 mins or less if no traffic.

Hotel is aimed mainly to bussiness travellers and to meetings&events. Has a fine restaurant. Pool was a let down, because its much smaller thna pictured - too small to swim actually, yet too deep for smaller children to play at.

I would still recommend this hotel, if you can book it at right price: we had a triple with breakfast (and free wi-fi) for 90€ with taxes. There are frequent busses to both train station (nro35) and to the city centrum (nro 20 and maybe others too). At evening a taxi back from the main square was a bit over 10€.

We used the hotel as a stopover prior to flying back home. It was perfect for our last night in Italy! Warm welcome by the staff, very nice and clean rooms. Unfortunately we were not able to use the pool because of the weather. Of key importance for my son: complimentary wifi! Otherwise it is very easy to visit Bologna by taking the #20 bus into Bologna. Cost €1.5 and takes 15mins. We had a lovely meal in the Garganelli restaurant.

Not surprising this hotel scores so highly here - it is a modern hotel with good facilities, excellent service and just a short distance from town. And at an astonishingly low price. We stayed for three nights in August. Room very comfortable, though not over generous in size but that was in part because a lot of space was given over to a smart bathroom. Lovely pool just right for a cooling dip. Nice breakfast cold buffet on the terrace. Lovely service from well organised staff who seemed to enjoy helping. It's a short and very easy bus ride from the city centre. Plenty of free parking on site and easy access from the motorway, once you have worked out the horrors of the city's urban highways. Attached to the hotel is a similarly wonderful restaurant even by the standards of a foodie city like Bologna. This was one of those stays where we felt embarrassed to be paying so little as we left!

A stylish hotel, spatious rooms (we happened to have the Silver Suite, which comprises of 3 rooms, a 24m² bathroom and a substantial terrace), a swimming pool, conveniently located close to highways and city centre, there is not much more one could want, is there?
Even though a few minute improvements are still possible (hardly) to the hotel experience (breakfast is fine, but you do feel like a cheap hotel in the Alps in winter and our terrace, despite its jacuzzi, could have been a tad cleaner), the restaurant is a must, period. Superb food.
