My five week trip to Bologna was to celebrate a milestone birthday and take a month long Bolognese cooking class. I moved into Palazzo Pannolini on January 27th and didn't leave until March 4th. I say "moved in" because after that length of time I felt as if the apartment was mine. I sent a note to Giancarlo, the owner, to say he was going to have a hard time getting me out! I loved that I could walk to anything and everything I needed. I made the short walk to get gelato many times.
The architecture is breathtaking and there is so much history to the area as it is located in what was known centuries ago as the Jewish ghetto.
The apartment is stocked well with all the necessities.
Knowing I was staying for such a long period I was concerned if the bed was going to be comfortable, 36 days of backache due to an uncomfortable mattress is scary just to think about. The mattress was superb!
See all the sights, taking a cooking class at CIBO Culinary Institue of Bologna!
You won't regret choosing to stay at this 'bellissimo appartamento Bologna'.
As the title reads:
"I couldn't have asked for anything more!"
We completely enjoyed our stay. Our host was very friendly and helpful. The space was easy to use; we cooked many light meals and enjoyed more complex meals and local cuisine at restaurants around the city. Everything was clean and convenient. We would stay here again anytime.
Giancarlo was very kind and helpful. He met us on arrival and showed us everything we needed to know about the apartment. I stayed in the apartment with my sister and her boyfriend, as we were all going to a family celebration in nearby Modena for the weekend. I slept on the sofabed in the sitting room, which was very comfortable and had very warm beddding, which was needed as it was very cold in Bologna when we were there. The central heating and hot water all worked well and kept us warm. The apartment was incredibly peaceful although once out in the street outside you are within easy reach of all the lovely sights that Bologna has to offer. We all enjoyed our stay at this apartment and loved hearing the sound of the church bells in the distance on Sunday morning. We would all happily stay at this apartment again as it was lovely, comfortable, had everything that we needed and was in a great location with a very kind and helpful owner.
Thank you Giancarlo! This apartment made my stay in Bologna so easy. Close to everything, but located in a secure private location, with all modern conveniences. If you are visiting Bologna, stay here!
We spent 3 nights at the Palazzo Pannolini & enjoyed it very much.
The apartment was clean, tidy, & very comfortable- it is in a beautiful old building and is in a great location.
Riccardo was very helpful & we enjoyed our stay and I recommend it for your stay in Bologna
The apartment is very well located and has all the necessary facilities for a short stay. Giancarlo was helpful and explained everything very clearly.
Our stay could not have been nicer. Giancarlo collected us from the airport, which was an unexpected treat, and the apartment was delightful. Compact and well designed with plenty of room for two. It was great to have a washing machine and a dish washer, though we never used the latter as there are too many lovely places to eat out! The location is brilliant, right in the historic centre and we walked to everything we wanted to see. We were warned to be careful in via zanboni bit never felt less than safe even coming back late. Will definitely go back.
