“EASY WALKING DISTANCE TO TRAIN STATION and MAJOR SIGHTS”
Reviewed May 9, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Apartment was selected due to its location which worked out very well. It is clean and well equipped. Kitchen is very tiny - definitely a one person space. As mentioned in other reviews, people at the bar across the street are nosy until 2am or later. We were warned by other reviews of this so had a good set of ear plugs which solved the problem. The bed isn't very comfortable. And, there are NO English channels on the TV. We would have liked to have at least one with, at least, news. Angela & Fabrio were both very helpful and friendly. Angela speaks very good English so cummication easy and Fabrio does quite well. Thanks.

The apartment is excellent. Very well located, in the center of Bologna. The apartment is very nicely decorated and very clean. Angela, the owner, is very friendly, helpful and available at all the times. I highly recommend it and we would come back next year for sure. Thanks a lot, Angela, for everything!

“Perfect Location for staying in town as well as traveling by train to other cities.”

Angela was the perfect hostess and her apartment fit our needs perfectly.
We were able to easily walk from the train to the apartment and our local relatives were able to pick us up, for trips out of town, without a hassle. The open air market was two blocks away and fabulous boutiques were at the top of the street. The flat was clean, convenient, and comfortable. There is a bar across the street which gets busy at night with noisy university kids, but falling asleep and staying asleep was not an issue. We will return someday and would love to stay there again.

“Bright, spacious, brand-new apartment for reasonable price”
Reviewed June 15, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Bright, spacious, brand-new apartment, perfect for a couple, family or a single traveller. Located in the center of a beautiful city Bologna, very close to the most important sights and about 7 min walk from the train station. There are plenty of supermarkets, cafe and restaurants around.

Angela, the owner of the apartment, put a lot of energy and efforts to make the place comfortable and cosy. She perfectly conveyed modern and artistic spirit of the city through pictures and little interior details. Angela is a very nice person, seems she really enjoys meeting new people and always ready to help.

The apartment was very clean and had everything necessary: hairdryer, ironing board, coffee machine, fast wi-fi, etc. I was very lucky with this place and enjoyed my stay in Bologna very much.

“It's clean and spacious, but noisy and a bit damp”
Reviewed May 29, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

The landlady is friendly and helpful. This apartment is spacious and clean. The location is an easy walk to the centre and train station. It is reasonably priced.
This is not the place for a quite night sleep however - bedroom is on ground floor at front of the building directly opposite a bar which operates each night until late hours except Sundays.
The apartment gets light but no direct sunlight and hence has a damp smell. The kitchen is sparsely equipped and could do with more cooking utensils and crockery.

I'm sorry you say I was helpful but you didn't ask for things you didn't find. You probably didn't open the kitchen cabinets, because you would have found inside: a complete set of six dishes (18), 6 water glasses and 5 wine glasses, lots of cutlery, with a big knive for bread, one for meat, 2 ladles and a shovel for meat and omelettes, big spoons for salad, 2 nonstick frying-pans, one pot for pasta with colander, 2 small metal jugs, a big salad-bowl, a centrifuge for salad, 2 chopping boards, 2 plastic boxes for the fridge, a bottle-opener, scissors, an italian mocka and an electric coffee machine, electric boiler, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper, 6 cups for milk and 4 coffee cups with a little jug for milk. The bar outside works mostly during the weekend. The rest is the noise of the center of Bologna, famous for its vitality. The apartment was fully restored, so no damp in there, nor humidity spots. Just use the fan when you get a shower and open the window in the morning, like everyone does in Italy, where we don't live closed between heat and air conditioning. Next time, in other places, talk to the owners for your needs: they will probably love to help their guests, as I am.

“Sleepless in Bologna!!”
Reviewed May 27, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

As part of a European road trip we had booked a 2 night stay to explore the city. We met the very pleasant owner to collect the keys but was shocked by the amount of graffiti in the immediate area although it was within easy walking distance of the main sights. The apartment itself was fine and had a good sized bedroom with large fitted wardrobes but we were soon to realise the problems of staying in a ground floor flat with the main entrance door and corridor to the other floors above. The bedroom window faced directly onto the street with a bar opposite and large refuse bins for the street. Also the building was still being renovated and the inner courtyard at the rear immediately next to the kitchen was scaffolded. Builders rang our doorbell early in the morning on our second day trying to gain access!! However, it was throughout the night that excessive noise made sleep impossible even with the use of earplugs!! People shouting and drinking and in the early hours the bedroom was lit up by the orange light of the refuse collection lorry with all the ensuing noise of emptying bins!! I feel the owner needs to stay there to fully appreciate what we experienced and unless you like to join in with the revelling not to think about staying in this location.

As you probably saw if you visited the town, graffiti are all around, and that's all. The bar outside works mostly during the weekend. The rest is the noise of the center of Bologna, famous for its vitality. Some people appreciate it. The refuse collection lorry is something you have to deal with if you are in the center. Anyway, we thought that the double-paned windows were enough, but, after your experience, we decided to make an acustical treatment of the room. The whole building, from 1911, is fully restored, and 13 families are already living there, even if some finishing touch is going on. If some workers rang at the door, I'm really sorry but it does not deal with the staying. I will certainly get your advice and stay there. Since now I've always trusted my guests and until now they fortunately appreciated the staying. Ground floor is a comfort for many people. Next time please ask.
