If you are looking for a quiet place, this Hôtel is for you! Perfectly located, right in the center, 100 yards from the Neptune fountain. From there you can easily visit the city, close to any restaurant. Rooms are medium size but well decorated. Very clean, efficient service.

Well there was a nearby earthquake that shook everything and everyone when we were staying here but nothing could shake our real enjoyment of Bologna and the Novecento is perfectly located ,in a quiet square just off Piazza Maggiore, the heart and soul of the old city. Rooms overlooking the square are probably the best, the price is fair and the breakfast good and reception team were excellent. This is a small hotel but big on comfort and style where the staff try really hard. Housekeeping was excellent,, great new linens every day. Bologna is a great little city, lots of style ,art....old and modern........and really friendly people. ...a far cry from the harried folks in tourist swamped Rome. This hotel reflects the citys personality perfectly great. Make sure if you like modern art to visit Mambo and its excellent restaurant Forno ,also NU Lounge where theres great people watching. Eataly is another must do with many floors of books ,food etc

We had a great modern designed room (with walk in shower) and a lovely deck... the hotel is close to everything in Bologna. The breakfast buffet was quite good. Staff were very helpful. On our last visit to Bologna we had stayed at another Art Hotel - that one was booked. We tried this one and although our taste is usually more traditional we loved the modern decor and conveniences. We would stay here again.

This hotel is better than we excepted. The room is of good size and with the beautiful headboard and mirrors it makes the room look larger. The deco is very modern and stylish and even the kettle is red and ultra-trenda. We love it!

The bathroom is beautiful with marble and quite big. Location is excellent - very convenient to shops, restaurants and the main beautiful piazza. It is not easy to find such a quiet area in the centre.

There are free big beautiful umbrellas for you to take out, free bike rental or tour on certain days. Breakfast is great with lots of choices.

There is a nice pizzeria less than 2 - 3 minutes away. It looks authentic and food is very good and the price is reasonable. Can't remember the name but was recommended by the receptionist.

I will definitely go back to this hotel when we are in Bologna.

Myself and my husband stayed in a deluxe room. The positives were:
- Very clean
- Friendly staff
- Very centrally located
- Beds extremely comfy
- Nice Balcony
- Tasty breakfast (continental - dont expect a fry up!)
On the negative side the room was small - it had two sitting chairs but I dont think the room was big enough for these. There was a wardrobe but no drawer space. You do pay for the location but I felt that it was a lot for what was classified as a deluxe rather than a standard double,

I wasn't sure when I booked at novecento hotel because I know italian standard for the hotels which is very bad. When we arrived to the hotel, they told us that the hotel room was full and they offered us a suite room outside of the hotel. First we were disappointed, then we decided to check the room. It was in an apartment and when we enter to the room we saw perfectly decorated room with Italian modern style. The room was very big, with 2 bathroom, 1 kitchen, with a plazma tv in front of the bed and the living room. We accepted to stay there and we felt soooo lucky. If you have a budget just book that room because it's very close to everywhere. You are in the heart of the city, and if you are a gourmet you can buy many delicious food and store in the big fridge. Also I have to mention the breakfast was the best breakfast I had in Italy. It was surprisingly good.

Room Tip: The hotel is very compact I think only suite rooms is good option.

The Novecento faces a large peaceful square. The location is perfect. a short walk to Piazza Maggiore, and close to restaurants, shops and other tourist attractions.. The hotel is very arty and the staff was very nice and professional. Our room was on the top floor facing the back street of the hotel. We got a double deluxe room and it was great!! Very roomy, alcoves and a fantastic bathroom with a huge walk in shower. We found the buffet breakfast had enough choices and the bakery was delicious. In the evening they also have some wine and snacks in the sitting area.
The hotel was very clean. We loved it and would stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms in front of the hotel are quieter and upgrade to a deluxe double
