What a fantastic find! This hotel has everything you need for a wonderful break in Bologna. Its just on the outskirts of the centre but a mere 15-20 minute stroll takes you back into the centre. The walk is pleasant and not strenuous at all- helpful for walking off all the pasta and gelatos!!
We arrived very early Saturday morning and although check in wasn't until 2pm the very helpful check in staff found us a fantastic room that we could check in to. The room was huge with a king sized bed (slept like a log) and had all amenities we wanted ( and a great view thrown in for good measure)Only small niggle was the shower- configuered quite awkwardly in the bath next to the radiator which meant you either banged your elbows or soaked the floor (easily fixed with a longer shower screen!)However, this didn't detract from our stay!!
The hotel has a lovely roof terrace with fabulous views over Bologna and great for watching the sun go down over the city (the terrace also has a jacuzzi /sunbathing area- had we been staying longer we would definately have used it, same for the gym area too)
On check in we were given 2 vouchers for evening welcome drinks in the bar terrace area which was lovely as we were able to sit outside and relax before heading back into the centre- a lovely unexpected touch.
Breakfast was superb with quality ingredients and enough to fill you up. Amazing value as included in the price of the room. The staff throughout our stay were friendly, courteous at all times and made our stay extremely pleasurable. Definitely a hotel that knows how to look after its guests!!

Room Tip: Higher rooms give a good view of Bologna

Hard to say more than what has already been said. Modern, clean, great breakfast buffet. Short walk to the heart of Bologna, Excellent place for visitors and I would suspect business as well.
Great value for your money.

We spent two nights at the hotel during the last week of May. Our stay there was excellent. The room was modern and very clean. The staff was exceptionally helpful-- our luggage was delayed, and the staff was especially helpful in working with us in whatever we needed. The breakfast, included in the price of the room, was fantastic. Just outside of the centro storico, the hotel is a ten minute walk away, and also offers great access to taxis. We would definitely return.

A great little hotel, just slightly off the beaten path. Everything was topnotch, from the friendly welcome to the excellent room. Immaculate and well provided for. Despite the warning from Rick Steve, Bologna was a delight, I enjoyed it more than Florence and it was always nice to head back to the oasis of Aemilia.

We ate two dinners at the hotel and were favourable impressed both times, the chef knows what he is doing and the prices were quite reasonable for hotel dining. Breakfast was superb and included but I think I liked the most about the hotel was the staff. Management should be very proud of the friendly, intelligent and very capable staff. Other hotels should take note!

Room Tip: Try and get a room at the back of the hotel on either the fifth or sixth floor with the lesser traff...

We stayed here on two separate nights in May. This hotel is a great place to stay - although a little outside the main town centre, it's an easy walk. The multilingual staff are very good indeed - ever informative and helpful.
We didn't try the restaurant (although the menu looked fine), but the bar and terrace area was very comfortable and comforting!
Highly recommended

Room Tip: High floors facing the city centre give superb views

This hotel somehow manages to be even more than the sum of its first class components. The rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet, the restaurant is excellent, the bar boasts a nice terrace and there is also a rooftop terrace with great views over the city, especially at sunset.

So why is it so special? It's hard to say exactly, I like the colour of the bricks it's built from, I like the large photos of Bologna that hang in the public areas, I like the carpets with their motives based on a map of the city centre.... I could go, it just all works so well.

The location is pretty good. The walk to the centre the centre takes 15-minutes, but it only takes 5 minutes to get to the edge of the centre.
