The Bolognese call this area Seven Churches. Santo Stefano combines three interconnected ones from different periods, with cloisters, tombs, chapels, and a museum shop that sells liqueurs and beauty products made by various monasteries. The Pilates basin and St Peter's rooster are worth noting, but it's the diverse architectural styles spanning the centuries that held the most fascination for me.
