Ideal hotel to spend a couple of days roaming around Bologna and nearby towns. It is located very close to Bologna central station, making it easy to catch a bus or train to nearby towns, and about 15 minutes walk from the city centre. However, at night it can be quite unpleasant to walk alone since you may find a couple of drunk and poor people roaming and sleeping about, typical of stations anyway.

Starting from the first encounters, staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful, especially Antonio and Alessandro, who offered their high quality service and helpful tips of where to travel or to have lunch with a friendly smile. Though it was still not time to check in, our luggage was securily stored so we were free to roam in the vicinity before the actual check in without the hindrance of luggage and same applied when we had to leave the hotel later in the afternoon.

Coming to the rooms: they were spotlessly clean with very modern facilities. We were provided with clean linen and towels daily and the room and ensuite was thoroughly cleaned every day. Things we really liked with regards to the room was that it was very clean and equipped with modern facilities and we had a spacious ensuite with complimentary toiletries which is a rarity in 3 stars in Italy. AC, safe and mini fridge worked perfectly well. We were on bed & breakfast basis so we were offered a generous breakfast, with a very friendly guy who served tea/coffee on request. A good variety of food was provided: cakes, cereals, bread,a variety of ham and salami, cheese, a variety of fruit and juices, tea/coffee as required...breakfast like this is also a rarity in Italy. I truly appreciated the sterling service being offered by all the staff encountered. We also appreciated the availability of a free wifi. Indeed it merits a 3star superior, if not more. Would surely recommend and will book again if ever we'll return to Bologna. Thanks guys.

A/C unit was quite noisy and seems ineffective so check on that, especially if travelling in the 'hot' summer months. Check that the underground station next to the hotel is open on your visit (especially if its during the weekend) since if its not, you have to walk a couple of blocks away for the next one, which can be quite cumbersome if travelling with luggage and tight to a flight schedule!

Room Tip: Our room at the 4th floor was perfect...nice floor and very quite, despite being near the lift.

Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights in late july. The location is right in the heart of the city, right next to both the bus station and train station. Breakfast is simple, but pleasant and the staff are very polite and helpful (particularly the gentleman in the breakfast room who asked us every morning what sort of coffee we would like and brought it with a big smile). The room was clean and the bathroom was very large. The only minor issues we experienced were that the lights in our room would sometimes flicker off and on (potential issue with room card loosing contact with the outlet?), and the wifi was a pain as you have to obtain a receipt with a username & password that would only be valid for 6 hours and log you out every hour or so. Besides these minor annoyances everything else was pleasant, aircon worked well.

Good overnight stay, just 4 minutes from train station, staff friendly and welcoming, single rooms on the small side, but clean as was the bathroom. Very good breakfast with HOT hard boiled eggs, a rare treat in Italy, excellent

Room Tip: rooms a the back or side are quiet

Hotel in a great location located just at the end of the shopping strip. Easy parking just down the road from the hotel for €16 a day.
Front of house staff and bar staff working very hard for the amount of people in the hotel.
Breakfast was basic, with toast, muesli and a few cold meats.
Room size decent and bathroom spacious. The aircon was broken which made our room 26.9 degrees all night and the windows unable to be opened as a result of broken switch. There was no curtains that would keep the light out so we were woken very early when the sun woke us up.
There are plenty of hotels around so would suggest staying somewhere else. Such a shame as staff were nice enough.

When we came this hotel we immediately encountered hotels friendly staff. They spoke good English. Location to this hotel is nearly perfect as it is 3 mins walk from train station and less than 10 mins walk to historical city centre. Rooms were clean rooms, wallpapers were a little torned but it was fine, nice collection of soaps and stuff in the bathroom. cleaning ladies were hard-working everyday. Breakfast was good and staff was knowledgeable.

I was engaged in a business travel in Bologna with my colleagues in the April, 2014 for 5 day. It didn't even passed half and hour after we arrived at the hotel and I was ROBED. We've been invited by the hotel staff to take coffee in their own restaurant and after we've finished my purse with all the money and documents we're gone.

After complaining to the receptionist and asking him to call the police, he said that it is unusual in Bologna for the police officers to come to the robbery scene, and it sounded very suspected. I've asked to see the video of the recorded cameras that they have in their restaurant, in the reception area and outside the hotel and they told me they didn't work, only by night time so I couldn't see anything.

No staff member of the hotel was surprised by the robbery, everyone was acting cool, and because I wasn't a loudly unsatisfied customer no other person that was sleeping in that hotel knew about the problem. I managed to make the complain to the police, somehow.

In the first night a drunk person came to the reception, and they've called me to my room that someone brought me back the ID card and to come downstairs. I managed to recover all my documents, but without any money or mobile phones that I was carrying with me.

The next morning i asked to see the video of the incident that happened in the middle of the night, and of course the cameras didn't work again, only the outside one's who weren't in their property, but in the property of the city of Bologna so they have no access to them.

The hole story was very tricky and I'm sure that some of the unimpressed personnel of the hotel are even involved imposture, only that i haven't got any access to the video recordings.

WATCH OUT FOR THIEVES if you stay there, you can really end up by having nothing and no one will be interested to help you, or to want to see what really happened!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the Linea Pelle show in March. The hotel was very convenient in that we could walk all over around the heart of Bologna without having to get a cab. The hotel is also across from the train station which made getting here very easy for us. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We arrived very early in the morning from a night train and they were able to check us in right away. The breakfast each morning was simple but good and offered fresh OJ and coffee. The rooms are quite large for European standards and we were both able to have our suitcases open at the same time and still walk around the room (unheard of in most hotels in Europe!). This isn't the nicest hotel, but it met our needs and then some.

Room Tip: The elevator is tiny and hard to get when the hotel is busy, stay on a lower floor and take the stai...
