Owner description: The colossal towers were built by Bologna's important families in the 12th century.

I'm not sure it has an option to climb up to the top, but standing in their feet was enough for me. The angle of the smaller tower is frightening.

These 12th century towers are pretty impressive. One of these towers leans, but the structure is impressive and sound. The piazza is busy, but people don't usually stick around too long. Nice place to meet someone and wait if you need to.

While 2 narrow old towers devoid of decoration may not sound worth a visit, these two old towers really are fascinating. Interesting to fantasize when such towers were all over the city, but while very few are left, this pair certainly adds a uniqueness to Bologna not found anywhere else.

Hard to explain how impressive these towers are, near the main Piazza Maggiore in Bologna. One is massive and the other is so tall you can barely see the figures of the people who were brave enough to climb to the top.

Experience the ever increasing pull of gravity as you ascend the rickety steps of this extraordinary earthquake hazard! You are rewarded with the best views in town.
