Owner description: The colossal towers were built by Bologna's important families in the 12th century.

The tower is higher than it looks from below, you´ll feel that in your legs. But the view is spectacular and definitely worth the effort. Not recommended for all scared of heights though, especially since the staircase is old, made of wood and open on the left hand side...

The 2 medieval towers are one of Bologna's top attractions. They are made of red stone, not so well decorated from the outside, but the size is impressive and the fact that one of the tower is leaning makes it more cool. The towers are not equal in size, the tallest one is open to public with an entrance fee. I highly recommend that you climb the 500 stairs, although it is tiring, but the experience from above is impressive and the views on the city are breathtaking. DO NOT MISS IT

Title says all I guess. The entrance was only 2 eurs each. There are about 500 steps so be prepared for it!

They seemed like a lonely pair of towers in the city center. I kind of hoped we could have gone inside.

it was rainy for both of our days in bologna last week-I wanted to just sit on the bench across from the two towers and just stare. they spoke to me somehow. next time.
