The hotel is only five minutes drive from the train station and just a few minutes walk from the main square, Piazza Maggiore. The important tourists sites and most of the good restaurants are also conveniently close by. The rooms are nicely decorated and guests have access to wifi free of charge. All staff where very friendly and helpful. Special mention and thanks to Sara at Front Desk, who helped us with recommending, scheduling and booking tables in all the good places! Will definitely stay there again!

This is a very charming small hotel right in the center of town.
Walking distance from the railway station. Nicely appointed, quiet room.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
My visit was during the Children's Book Fair, and the hotel very thoughtfully arranged a shuttle bus to the fairgrounds for all the guests attending.
A very generous and helpful attention.
I will return !

Although we had visited Bologna previously, we had never spent the night. We wanted to stay in a central location, near the train since we were arriving by train. This hotel was perfectly located - an easy walk from the train station and blocks from all of the local sightseeing and wonderful restaurants.

The staff was very warm and welcoming. I forget what the sign outside the hotel says, but it is easy to miss the hotel. A staff member saw us obviously looking for a place, while we were pulling our luggage and ran out to let us know we "found" the hotel!

The hotel is very modern. I can only speak about our room, which was a bit quirky. The toilet and bidet were in a room by themselves. The double sink was in a separate, but not enclosed, area right outside the toilet room and the shower was in the open - without a door or curtain - right in the bedroom. I must admit I have never seen anything like this. Also, there was not really a closet, but an open area with a bar to hang things, but it was not deep enough to accommodate a hanger. That was a bit of a poor design. There was a small desk area which was handy for our laptop. The free wi-fi worked well.

The real plus at this hotel was the outstanding breakfast. Not only was it delicious, it was beautifully presented. Things were minimalistic and artistic - served on white small sushi type plates. I cannot imagine how long it took to prepare these dishes. The breakfast presentation was incredible, as well as very tasty.

I do have one complaint - the door locks. We were shown how the door handle had to be positioned in order to lock and unlock it. Unfortunately, it was quite tricky. I kept hoping we would not encounter an emergency situation where we would have to exit our room quickly. It took minutes for us to get the door handle to the exact position to lock and unlock the door. Those locks really should be changed. They are a safety issue.

Other than the locks (and the exposed shower being in the middle of the room) we enjoyed our two night stay and would recommend this hotel.

Good small but nice and clean rooms with small balconies in the centre of Bologna. Friendly and helpful staff that made our stay in Bologna very enjoyable. Great location in the centre of town in close proximity to some excellent restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was fine for what we wanted. The location was great, the room was comfortable, even if fairly sterile in decor, the staff helpful, it was clean, and the bed was quite comfortable. Our room was directly over the outside bar across the street and I agree, it can get noisy, not to mention smokey. I used ear plugs and it was fine, but we tended to sleep with the windows closed for that reason and it could get hot. The windows were new and sealed up nicely.

Bologna is a great city to visit. Exceeded my expectations. Not nearly as touristy as some of the other cities, wonderful food, a vibrant university community with lots of places to go out. Strongly recommend it. You feel like you are surrounded with Italians living their lives vs. tourists here to visit. Add it to the roster of places.

Room Tip: Get room in back if noise is an issue or smoke. The street out front is narrow and there is a bar ac...

Firstly I must recommend Bologna for a weekend away. Great food, architecture, really atmospheric with the old 12C porticos and towers.

Hotel is very well located for walking about the city; my single room was not outrageously priced as some singles are; I had two big windows so altho it was hot I did not need the aircon on. But do check your room-another friend had a window opening into a lightwell, quite claustrophobic.

Friendly staff, great included breakfasts, PC in lobby for guests' use, would recommend it

The moment we walked in to the hotel we were warmly greeted and I must say that the staff here were the friendliest we came across on our holiday. We were offered an apartment a couple of blocks away which I was a little hesitant about but they suggested we go with them to look and if we didn't like it we could come back. We did like it and we enjoyed our whole stay. The apartment gave us a bit more space as well as a fridge and coffee making facilities. It would have been nice to have a bit more crockery and some wine glasses but we managed even though there was a sign that indicated the kitchen couldn't be used. The apartment was clean, modern and quiet and the position was great. We only had to walk a block or so for breakfast at the hotel and any communication we had with the reception there was great. We couldn't manage to get the TV to work in the apartment but they quickly sorted it out. They recommended restaurants and booked us a taxi. We ate at Da Nello al Motegrappo close to the apartment one night and had a delicious meal. The tortellini was fabulous and so was the panna cotta. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thought it was very reasonably priced. We also loved wandering through all the alleyways and market stalls in Bologna - and of course the food!
