The Atlantic hotel is a comfortable walk from the train station and the same to the Piazza Maggiore, about 10 minutes each way. The hotel has grown sideways from the original building and now occupies adjoining property. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained with good bedlight for reading. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast room adequate and well supplied.
There is a small supermarket adjacent and it has food and drink if you desire.
A nice hotel, clean and well run.

Albergo Atlantic is superbly located about half way from the railway station to the Piazza Maggiore. It's less than a 10 minute walk to both. The staff spoke good English and was also very friendly and attentive. Hotel is built into a narrow, old (refurbished) building. Rooms vary in size and decor. The rooms are still looking almost brand new which shows that they are very well taken care of. Furniture is rustic/collection of "recycled" old furniture and thus the rooms have a cosy atmosphere. There are shutters on windows which block the lights out. Windows also keep the noise pretty well outside, but you cannot say the same about all the walls and doors inside the hotel. However, this minor thing (which seem to be very common in Italian hotels) did not really lessen the overall satisfaction.
Breakfast was included in our rate. It was nothing special, but good enough to get the day started.
Overall, an excellent hotel that has certainly earned its "certificate of honor" from Tripadvisor (it was posted in the lobby). Will certainly try to stay here again whenever in Bologna.

Room Tip: Some rooms cannot be accessed directly from the lift but require walking in the stairs.

Rooms a little noisy, but all up very good. Breakfast was great too and good location to the station. Great ice cream on town and some very nice food at good value for money. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Stayed here only 1 night with family, but everything was fine, position close to city center and train station, staff very friendly, room big enough. Easy if you come by train, but also possible to park your car in the car park in front of the hotel.

This hotel was amazing! It's not a five star hotel, obviously, but it was great for the price. The rooms are cosy and charming, everything's clean, and the staff is friendly. The location isn't bad, it's about 10 minutes away from the centre. I didn't think that the breakfast was bad, there was plenty to choose from (you might be disappointed if you don't like continental breakfasts, though). I would absolutely recommend it :)
