If you are looking for a typical accomodation in Bologna, this is your place! I have lived in this city for 6 years while I was a student, and this colourful hotel, with its lovely courtyard and beautiful furniture is an authentic spot in the city. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and they are fluent in several languages. Breakfast is great quality. Close to the hotel, you can find two restaurant (I would recomment "Al Sangiovese" - try Tortelloni burro e salvia or cotoletta alla bolognese). From the station, you can get bus 33 – it will take 15 min. The hotel is located in a quiet street in the city centre, just 10 min walk to Piazza Maggiore. Regarding the few negative comments below: the location is not dangerous! This is one of the richest and safest parts of the city. As for the comment on hard matresses..My family and I found our beds very comfortable - and good matresses shouldn't be too soft anyway. I totally recommend this hotel and will keep booking it any time I go to Bologna!
