We stayed 2 nights at this hotel in september. We were impressed by the size of the room and the fact that we had a bath. The location was fine for walking from the train station, but it was a 15 min walk to the main square,
The bar was so nice but far too expensive. I paid 4 euros for a tonic water A glass of prosecco was 8 euros. We were used to paying half that price in Verona - in a better hotel!
The staff on the desk were not very friendly or welcoming.
On the first night we returned to our room at 11.30 and when we pulled back the covers we saw a round shaped blood stain - the sheets had obvioussly been washed and ironed but the stain was bright for all to see. there was also a mascara stain on one of the pillowcases.
I telephoned reception and they said we could move to another room. No way did we want to move at this time of night - all our clothes were hanging in the wardrobes.
I asked for the sheet and pillowcase to be changed so they sent up a very unhappy night porter. He was quite angry. I went into the bathroom while he changed the bed and left my husband to watch TV. It took the disgruntled man almost 20mins as he changed the whole bed.
We were pleased to get into a bed that had no stains, The bed was huge and very comfortable but the pillows were hard and uncomfortable.
Breakfast next day was fine. Not a big selection of hot food but perfectly ample..
I spoke to the receptionist about our problem the night before but she was not interested.
I wrote in the comments form before leaving the hotel and received an apology from the generl manager. Not much good when we were back home again, but still....
If staying in Bologna again we would prefer to be just a bit nearer to the centre.
TIP . hotel internet is expensive. There is a small bar at the back of hotel with free wifi and cheap drinks. Turn left out main door, walk round corner, turn left at next corner and a short walk down the street you will find the bar. Sorry I cant remember name.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor as the hotel is on a busy street with traffic noise

Two blocks from the train station and on the main street to the historic downtown piazza, this hotel fit the bill for us as a place to spend the night before catching a flight. The staff was a pleasant surprise, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was above average, a nice selection. We booked a slightly larger room and were very pleased with two large windows over looking the rear courtyard, a nice bathroom, a king sized bed and a very quiet night's sleep in the midst of a bustling city. We'd stay there again.

Room Tip: Face the back courtyard to avoid street noise.

We only stayed one night but were very pleased with the location, service and degree of comfort. Staff were helpful and provided good information. Hotel is easy to find, close to the railway station and only a short walk to the historic centre and main shops.

As tourists at this hotel, we were at a disadvantage. WiFi was costly & directions to transportation & restaurants was incomplete.
The hotel & the rooms are clean & well decorated.
The breakfast & bar were very accommodating.

Room Tip: Fourth floor was noisy due to nearby construction.

I spent a week in Bologna during a very hot August and the Internazionale turned out to be a terrific choice. Large air-conditioned bedroom with very little traffic noise even though it overlooked a busy road junction. The location is great. A short (5 minute) walk takes you to the railway station (one and a half hours by train to Venice, 35 mins to Florence, etc) or the city centre. Plenty of places to eat nearby, including a self-service restaurant (opposite the Arena del Sole) which is basic but very convenient. The breakfast buffet in the hotel is superb. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Bologna.
