Eventhought the food and cocktails have always been delicious, in the last month the service of this bar has became worse and worse. It 5 mins only for the menu even though the place was quiet empty, then we were forced to change table because they had to clean the floor. Very loud because of the cleaning disturbing the atmosphere, we left

Many restaurants in Bologna offer the "Aperitivo Buffet" which gives you one drink plus a buffet spread for one price during the early evening. We walked past many of them and the Caffe Zamboni looked to be the most impressive choice of food, so we went in. There were eight of us and we each paid 8 Euros for a large beer and unlimited trips to the buffet. Everyone loved the food and loved the value. We sat outside on Via Zamboni and enjoyed the noise, the steady stream of passers-by and the fresh air. Even though the plate was flimsy and small and the fork was plastic, everyone had a lovely evening and felt that we got terrific value for the price. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

This restaurant was just across the road from our hotel last weekend in Bologna. We didnt stay long enough to have chance to eat here, but I had a craving for an Italian Ice Cream. I had pastacio, which was delicious & my husband had lemon sorbet which was lovely and tangy.....all for 6 euros! Bargain!!

At c.6pm each evening the is a really good tapas buffet set up. The cost is c.€3pp added onto the price of your drink. The buffet table here had the best selection of mini-foods we encountered in Bologna. Service is great and sitting outside allows you to watch Bolognese life pass you by. A great place to chill after a hot day!

During my vacation in Italy I used to go at Cafe Zamboni almost every afternoon, since I loved the relaxed atmosphere and its very convenient location-just under the “Due Torri” as the Italians say. After long sunny days spent travelling or visiting monuments and cities, I liked to stop there and sip a fresh Van Ghog cocktail or a classy Bellini. My husband liked their huge aperitif buffets, definitely the best and the biggest in Bologna. The stuff is very friendly and professional. Another good detail is the Italian/English menu with pictures: it makes everything easier!
