Sugar heaven for those that live Italian deserts. The entrees were not very good, the pasta dishes were just ok - nothing special. The starters were good but not great. The house wine, weak but the deserts were to write home about.

Go for the desert platter. Best to get a reservation as it fills up fast.

A popular eating place, we were lucky to get a table at short notice. Can recommend mushroom dish. The highlight of my visit was a plate with selection of all their desserts. Not something I usually go for, but they were all delicious. Book in advance to make sure you get a table

We had an excellent night here. We arrived shortly after 7.30pm on a Monday without reservation and were lucky to be seated. The Osteria's two rooms filled up shortly thereafter. We selected the 2 pastas between the 2 of us and chose the Tortellini in brodo and Lasagne (not on the menu). The Tortellini came out first and was delicious. The broth very light as was the pasta. The lasagne was pretty good with tasty bechamel and what looked like spinach pasta sheets. We then selected the beef carpaccio which was thinly sliced and quite refreshing with drizzled Italian olive oil and ground fresh peppercorns. Yum! We were quite full but convinced to try 'the best tiramisu'. It was indeed delicious and a must try here. The ambience was great and the waiters work hard for a full house of patrons. Special mention goes to the young Italian waiter who is so vibrant with such effervescence he made our night by offering us Limoncello. We also had the house Cabernet Sav from Verona which was a lovely compliment to our meal. All up €49 for the 2 pasta selection, beef carpaccio, tiramisu, 1/2 litre carafe house red wine and bottle of sparkling mineral water. We left a €6 tip for a wonderful experience and memorable atmosphere. A definite must while in Bologna.

Very small cozy restaurant with welcoming, friendly staff. Recommended to us by the hotel as a must try. Locals' favourite. Great food; the house wine - a wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon - is exceptional! You must not leave without trying their TIRAMISU - it is to die for! The best I've had and believe me I've had many! A place to Remember, Recommend and Revisit!
