Mom's top request when planning our trip to Italy was to take a food tour. We booked the 3 food tours (prosciutto, parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar) with the 4 course lunch. Communication with Eleanora beforehand was perfect, she even confirmed the day beforehand.
They were prompt in picking us up, and the car was comfortable. Eleanora did a nice job of translating and answering our questions.
We were able to sample each of the products (in generous quantities) and we especially enjoyed visiting with the brother/sister team that runs the prosciutto factory.
Afterwards we stopped at a restaurant for a 4 course lunch with Eleanora where we peppered her with more questions about her job and Italy in general!
Overall, we had a great day. It was nice to let someone else do the driving. Highly recommend!

Eleonora and team provided us with a personalised and unique tour of this area, mixing it up with foodie delights and a visit to Ducati. Flexible and adaptable, providing the perfect day for us and a chance to admire the beautiful countryside

This tour was most enjoyable. We had a wonderful time at the dairy farm and sampling all of the delicious cheese. Our guide (who is also the owner) of the balsamic vinegar farm was simply lovely and gracious. The wine tour was a lot of fun and was a very generous pour. Lunch was a wonderful affair. Eleonora was a lovely tour guide and we thank you from Calgary, Canada.

We had such an amazing time with Emilian Land Tour during our time in Bologna. From the start, Eleonora answered all of my questions through email... she was very prompt, professional, and very friendly. We decided to do the cheese, balsamic vinegar, and wine tasting tour. Morgan was our guide and he was so informative and so nice! He was such a pleasure to be around and he went out of his way to make sure we had a good time. We watched the cheese makers make three batches of cheese while Morgan explained the process to us. The balsamic vinegar tour was next and the woman running it was very informative and friendly... I think we tasted about 6 different balsamic vinegars. Next was the wine tasting where we were showed the vineyards and explained the processes. We tasted some great wines and the owner "Jim" made sure we had a great time!

I don't want to forget to mention our awesome driver Nicola. I had left our camera in the car and Nicola alerted the company. He came back the next day and delivered the camera to our hotel before our morning train, which we were very grateful for.

We had such a great experience that day and we made memories with our friends that we'll always remember... thank you to all of you for making this day special for us. We highly recommend Emilian Land Tour!

Do yourself a favor and GO ON THIS TOUR!

My friend and I took an Emilian Land Tour in November 2012 and had an amazing time! The tour we signed up for included visits to a parmigiano-reggiano dairy farm, balsamic vinegar producer, wine estate and closed with an amazing lunch featuring local cuisine.

While looking at different food tours in the area, we chose this one for the personal experience. We traveled with our fantastic guide, Eleonora, our driver and that’s it. Eleonora had a great rapport with each of the local producers we met with which set an easy, friendly and fun tone to the whole day. She was very knowledgeable about each of the products and did a great job explaining each process. At each stop, we had a chance to ask several questions, joke around and really interact with these incredible artisans.

Along the way, we got to taste amazingly fresh parmesan-reggiano, traditional balsamic (on gelato, YUM!), and several delicious wines (including sparkling whites – my favorite). And I didn’t even mention the amazing views. But best of the all, the tour really gave you an inside look into the pride and passion that each producer puts into creating the best product.

So, stop hesitating and book this tour. You will walk away with a full belly, happy memories and great stories to share when you get home.
