We ate at this restaurant at a recommendation from the staff at the hotel where we were staying. We arrived near dinnertime at the hotel, and - according to the hotel staff - there is nowhere to eat in the area unless you make reservations. They made the reservations for us to eat at this restaurant on the night of our arrival.
When we arrived, our server (who may be the owner?) was very friendly, at first. At her suggestion, we ordered the Lasagne Verdi al Bolognese (the noodles in this dish were made with spinach) and the Maccheroncini al Pesto de Sangiovese. We also had bread and drank water with our meal.
Our food was delicious and we were quite satisfied. Our server came to our table when we had finished eating and asked us what else we wanted to order. We did not want to order anything else at the time and informed her of this. She stated, "I'll wait and let you decide if you end up wanting something else." She would not take "no" for an answer. We then waited for several minutes for our server to come back to us. She never did. We watched her wait on others. She passed by our table several times and even made eye contact with us, but she never came back to check on us. It made all of us feel quite awkward, almost embarrassed to be in this predicament. After almost a half hour, we asked another server for our check. We ended up paying for our bill through the other server.
Although the food was good and the restaurant nice, the server's behavior made us uncomfortable enough where we would not visit here again.
