“Worth every penny and then some - Educational and entertaining”

Alessandro and his Italian Days Food Experience was a real treat. It began with scheduling the event with his charming girlfriend Barbara via email, who ensures all the details. The day of the event, Alessandro and his driver Fabrizio picked us up at our hotel and immediately began entertaining us. The tours at the Parmigiano, Balsamico and Prosciutto facilities were incredibly delightful, entertaining and educational. I'm a "foodie" who has high standards for quality and pedigree, and I found all three facilities to be masters of their respective crafts. The DOP prosciutto was the best I've ever had, and the Extra Vecchio balsamic was indescribable. Alessandro has found his niche - his personality, enthusiasm and knowledge will capture you, and the endless samples accompanied by wine will redefine your understanding of cheese, meat and balsamic...not to mention very enjoyable Lambrusco...
The conclusion of the tours would have left me thoroughly satisfied, but to top it all off, Alessandro arranges an incredible sit-down meal that will set the standard for dining in Italy.
Our Italian Days Food Experience was one of the highlights of our two weeks in Italy.
Thank you Alessandro, Barbara and Fabrizio - Exceptionally well done!

“You think you know balsamico?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2013

Unbelievable tour!!!!! The best food we had in Italy and what can to say about Alessandro?!!!!!!
Passionate, funny, engaging, intelligent.......there aren't enough superlatives!!!! If you go to the Bologna / Emelia Romagna area and you have a day to do this.......you won't regret it. I still eat balsamico on my gelato!!!!!! We just finished our parmigiano reggiano and need more!!!!!! ......and the Lambrusco just isn't the same in the States.

Alessandro.....please open a online store soon!!!!

We'll definitely do this again.

My daughter and I and about 10 other guests from around the world spent a wonderful day with Alessandro visiting a cheese, Balsamic and Prosciutto factories.

Alessandro is passionate , enthusiastic, witty and makes you feel right at home. A great guide to spend a day with. All three factories were great to visit and we learnt a great deal about the making of the products, not to mention the very generous tasting sessions.

We then went for the light lunch, which took at least two hours and you sat down and then food came, course after course after course. Magnificent.

Highly recommended

“Wow, what an amazing experience!”

This was perhaps the best thing we have done on this trip to Italy. Alessandro has so much energy and passion for what he does. He makes you feel like an old friend. It is informative and so much fun.
The cheese factory, prosciutto factory and balsamic maker, are each the coolest places ever. You will be completely immersed in every aspect of their production. But, the tastings are to die for. They will feed you and feed you until the third or fourth time you say "no more". Then you go for the "light lunch". Do not eat that morning and be prepared for a never ending feast, with more wine than you ever thought you could drink. To top it all off, we made many new friends from around the globe. Don't miss this experience, there is nothing else like it.

“One of the BEST Experience in Italy !!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2013

We did the tour on 20 April and there were no regrets !!

Alessandro was the life of the party and he explained everything in great detail.

Don't have your breakfast, hell don't even take your dinner the night before. The "light" lunch was enough to fill our stomach for the rest of the day. MANGIA MANGIA !!!

Would recommend everyone to try this tour when they visit Italy. Make it a point to visit Bologna for this tour, you will not be disappointed.
