I just have to agree with all the reviewers--a fantastic wonderful experience. From the time we were picked up and our hotel, Allessandro and his drivers/assistants were wonderful. Everyplace we visited left us with so much knowledge and enthusiasm for this delicious food and their origins. We finished the three visits (with generous samples at each venue!) with the most amazing meal on a lovely covered patio outside at a "farm house". Allessandro has such knowledge about each product; plus his energetic personality made it all such fun. He made a point of knowing each person in the group and making us all feel like friends. This did not feel like a "tour" but a private inside visit to the area's wonderful traditional producers of Parmigiano Reggiano, Balsamic and Prosciutto!

I have never experienced such passion for the traditions of food making as we did with Alessandro on his amazing tour! The energy and enthusiasm draws you in as you absorb his wonderful depth of knowledge of the history and processes of traditional food making and the laws governing the strict requirements. Alessandro could be a stand-up comic in another life...in a word..hilarious! His drivers are so respectful and kind, assisting Alessandro along the way.but oh my...the 'light lunch'...don't be fooled..it was a FEAST! Our whole 4 week holiday to Italy from Australia was based around an article we read over 1 year before about this tour-and we booked everything else around this! Don't miss it! And thank you also to Barbara for her excellent communication and emails - good luck for the new bambino! Thankyou Alessandro!! Warm wishes, Anna and Mark from Australia!

Our day with Alessandro was truly one of the highlights of our 2 weeks in Italy. We are now parmigiano reggiano and balsamico snobs! Alessandro's passion, knowledge and outgoing personality made the day pass all to quickly. Besides Alessandro, all that knowledge and food we met some great people from all over the world! This tour is worth your time.

There was nothing to dislike on this fantastic adventure. Alessandro and his team were wonderful hosts, polite and charming. The tour was informative, educational and a taste sensation. It was the highlight of the trip as many people have stated in their reviews and I did initially have doubts as to how wonderful a food tour really could be, but my doubts were soon put to rest and I can honestly say it was every part of it was fantabulous right down to the other guests who joined us on the trip and added to the day with their experiences and knowledge.
Thanks Italian Days Food Experience.

If there was higher than excellent as a rating that would be the one I would check! Everything from making the reservations with Barbara (Alessandro's girlfriend) to the pick up at our hotel and the all day experience of learning and tasting was perfecto!!!!! Alessandro is so knowledgeable and passionate about EVERYTHING! We had three vans and he took turns being a passenger with each one of us. The delicious "light lunch" (which in Italy you may want to know, is not "light") was a perfect end to the tour where we all relaxed, ate and drank wine and really enjoyed getting to know each other. We were dropped off back at our hotel at the end of the day fully satisfied and much more knowledgeable of the process of everything we love to eat in Italia!!!!!
