We ate out on the terrace, which is actually a piece of decking on the pavement separated from the traffic by some bushes in planters. The restaurant is 5 minutes walk from the station which is one reason we chose it, as we left after dinner to catch a train to Paris. Starters were octopus and spaghetti with clams. The wife claimed the octopus was bland but there was a lot of it. The spaghetti was nicely al dente with sufficient clams to satisfy the need for a starter.
Onto the mains. The wife had pasta with pesto, a classic combo well executed. My steak arrived as specified.
NB the unwary should be aware that on the menu, WYSIWYG. So if you want some veg, they are an optional extra.
The service was fine, the portions generous and the clientele a mix of Italian and foreign and the atmosphere quite acceptable. Not much to see along the street, but good to do a bit of people-watching in the margins.
The loos, always a variable in Italian establishments, were acceptable.
The price is more aimed at the tourist end of the market but was reasonable value for money.
All in all, a restaurant I would return to.
