This hotel is not elaborate, modern and smart but it is very comfortable and convenient. It delivers on accommodation (spacious comfortable room, views) and food. We ate all 3 nights at the restaurant, simple Italian food but tastey and great value, including the vino rosso de casa. Breakfast was abundant, with plenty real (espresso/macchiato) coffee. Service in the restaurant and at the front desk was outstanding. Very good pool. Great base for cycling this picturesque. So all up is a great base for visiting the marvellous Urbino, 3km back up the road west.

Great location for visitiing Urbino if you have a car. Staff very friendly helpful with travel tips.

Desk staff showed me a place to park for free and I had a lovely short walk to Urbino with a wonderfull view of probably the best hill town in Italy.

Best breakfast that I have had in Italy. Had a fantastic omlette and there is a lzrge choice of savoury and sweet food

We found the Urbino B&Bs slightly expensive, which is no surprise considering the tiny area of this medieval town. So, just 5 Km outside of Urbino town, there is this B&B, which does a great job if you have a car. The hotel is slightly uphill compared to the main road, so traffic noise is not an issue. From the room window one has a beautiful view of the rolling countryside, while at the same time being a few minutes' drive from Urbino away. The room, as well as the breakfast, are basic but perfectly fine for our purpose of a brief visit to Urbino. Also, the rooms are clean and very spacious. Overall, very good value for money!

We stay at La Meridiana every year and have never been disappointed in any respect. This friendly family run hotel is well located for visiting some fantastic places in the area, not least the historic university town of Urbino. The owner and reception staff speak fluent English. You would be missing a jewel of a hotel if you didn't visit Meridiana.

we stayed here last week. although its a bit outside of Urbino and the rooms are a bit dated, this hotel is really good value! certainly compared to the hotels in the centro storico. Parking is a real problem in Urbino and it can be quite noisy at night due to the high density of students. Thats why it was good to stay outwith the town, it was peaceful and tranquil and the hotel manager was very friendly and could not have been more helpful. He also gave you advice on where to park for free! A great surprise was the hotel's restaurant. we don't really make a habit of eating at hotel restaurants because more often than not they are pretty bad! But we thought we would give this one a try and it was quite busy, again with Italians. It was really good value especially the rabbit, canelloni and house wine. They should make more of this restaurant and promote it more. This is also where you have breakfast. Very large variety of cakes available and freshly made cornetti with cheese and ham if you want it.
