My wife and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon. We are both 'difficult customers' but this place is amazing in all respects! The hosts are delightful, intelligent and interesting and clearly made every possible effort for us to enjoy our stay. The location is marvelous, with amazing views and a great location 10 minutes from Urbino. The house has been restored beautifully and tastefully (we happen to love colour and extravagance!), and is of course clean with all the facilities you would expect. What a find! We will be coming back.

From the moment we arrived, to the time we left Thierry and Laurette were the most wonderful of hosts, fun friendly and very helpful. The old traditional farmhouse is set on a hill commanding spectacular views over the Marche countryside. When you walk into the house your senses are assaulted with vibrant colours, wonderful antiques, paintings and chandeliers blending well with the camp and kitsch. We stayed in the Zebra suite, our daughters the Leopard suite.. and believe me the decor lived up to the names!!!
My daughters loved playing the 19th century piano in the beautiful piano room.
Some 10 mins from lovely Urbino, with comfortable beds and easily the best stay and breakfast of our 3 week trip.
Most enjoyable and unforgettable experience, highly recommended!

This place justifies the spectacular reviews. Just check out the traveller photos - brings back the whole essence of our stay, which was all too short. Thierry and Laurette are kind and genial hosts.

The place is unlike any other, the setting and the decor unrivalled. Would love to go back again.

The only reason we did not give 5 stars for sleep quality is that we were there in the middle of a ridiculous heatwave in the Italian summer and it was too hot at night. This wouldn't usually be an issue, I'm sure.

Location is so idyllic - if you are looking for somewhere within walking distance of anything other than lovely countryside and views, then this is not for you.

We decided to spend a long w.e. to visit the Ideal city exbition held in the amazing Palazzo Ducale (built in the XV century by Federico da Montefeltro), crudle of many Renaissance innovative ideas of the time. Villa Barocco has been a real surprise: founding out a villa well kept with authentic barocco furniture full of colour in a large and pleasent garden with a swimming pool just in front of a "depicted" urbinate landscape. The owners are very charming and full of attention for the guests. Breakfast is a real experience: good choice of natural products. The rooms full of colour, better the ones at the first floor: in summer time the second floor rooms are quite warm. Laurette and Thierrye thanks for your warm hospitality and for giving us the opportunity to stay at your home . Jane and Luciano Milan Italy.

In the mid of a stunning landscape, Villa Barocca is an oasis of luxory. We stayed in the very large suite, decorated in the baroc style which is the theme of this home.
The owner , Thierry and and his compagnion, Laurette are wonderfull hosts. A very nice surprise , the first evening was a private jazz concert , with an excellent combo, featuring Rene Vanhelsdingen a world class pianist. Thanks for inviting us to this party. The large swimming pool, billiard room, video in each room, the breakfast and most importantly the hosts make Villa Barocco a place the we will certaily visit again.

This B&B is simply fantastic! Book it!
We regretted so much that we could only stay one night.
Some of the reasons:

- The house (beautiful old house) is on top of a hill, you have a wonderful view.
- The pool is great, especially because of the stunning view, and it's nice to just lie there and relax. (It's not too hot, because of the wind)
- Breakfast is incredibly good!!! (The owner is French). (Cakes, cheese, salmon, ham, salami, eggs, salad, fruits, homemade bread, jams, honey, and lots more ... everything tasted wonderful).
- Very special interior design. (To be honest, we would not furnish our home like that, but for spending your vacation there, it's perfect, because you really have the feeling that you're at a very special place, which is so not like home or work)
- Excellent restaurant recommendation for Urbino
- On top: huge selection of DVDs and books, billiard / pool table, two living rooms

We'll definitely come back and stay longer!

What a wonderful stay we had in Villa Barocco. Hidden in the hills just outside Urbino this place is a treasure. We were spoilt to bits with the comfort of the rooms (suite) and the wonderful breakfasts. The tranquility and beauty of the setting made me want to spend my whole time there and not leave. The decor of the Villa was awe inspiring and the pride of the owners was justifiable. Enjoy.
