Vittoria Hotel Pesaro

Reviewed July 21, 2010

Before I travelled,I read the hotel reviews, and that this hotel was rated excellent. The interior is dowdy, old fashioned, and they play constant miserable classical music all day with no change. For a 4 star hotel ,the breakfast is not up to much. It says 24 hour bar service, but you have to hunt out the receptionist to make drinks by the pool. Menu all fish, no alternative. Beds really comfortable, but noise from neighbouring hotel of loud karioke till midnight most nights. They do not have a private beach, and we had no discount from the beach club they recommended where they have a changing room. Nothing to do in Pesaro but lie on the beach or swim in the hotel pool, which is nice but small. The two female receptionists were lovely and helpful and the night male receptionist . The morning male receptionist was most unhelpful saying he was too busy to help with requests I made.Their internet conections were rubbish. Would not go to Pesaro or this hotel again. I have stayed all over Italy and this was not good. Shops not good either and the old part of town is not old.

Have now been to this hotel for our annual trip to Pesaro for the last four years. Sporting the elegance of another generation, it is nonetheless quite pleasant offering excellent service, rooms of adequate space with modern bathrooms. The breakfast layout is abbundant. Located near the beach, it is about 10 blocks walk to the central square in Pesaro. In the warmer months the atmosphere around the beach has becoming increasingly pleasant: there are now several restaurants permitting outdoor dining and even a boardwalk. Fairly priced, the location is therefore excellent.

This hotel has seen better times. There is no more Ocean view, for a *** high rise hotel has been built right in front of it. Another high rise hotel was erected in the back, completely sandwiching the Vittoria. To make things worse these two hotels have life bands that play loud music all evening, until 1 A.M, 20 ft from the Vittoria! We had dinner on the terrace just once, with earplugs. Impossible to enjoy with this incessant cacophony from two directions. We were a group of four. We would never go back there.

The hotel accommodation itself is great. Breakfast buffet is super. Otherwise we never saw anybody eating in the dining room. The food is not up to standards. Nobody eat more than once at the Vittoria, during the time we were there and the very helpful Maitre D admitted to us that the two meals we had there were a disgrace.

Really impressed by the Vittorio, from the warm reception we received when we arrived, to the willingness of the staff to make sure we has all we needed, our room - we were given a suite, the position of the Hotel to the beach - just 50 metres away and the food .. first class. Thoroughly recommend. My only criticism is that the Hotel doesn't advertise enough the excellent product and facilities that they have got! Can't wait to return to the Hotel and to Pesaro, a town both my wife and I found very friendly and interesting. The shopping, the restaurants and the beach are all good and within easy walking distance of the Hotel.

Just back from a week in the Vittoria. This must be one of the top choices for staying in Pesaro, in a very good location almost on the sea front. The hotel is in a charming turn-of-the-century building only ten minutes slow walk from the town's historic centre (although there is not as much to see in Pesaro's centro storico as there might be in some of the other towns of Italy, but it still has a good deal of charm and the shopping is fine).

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room on the third floor had a good enough view over the sea, only partly blocked by the Metropol in front, but the room was quite luxurious - certainly for those like us who tend to stay at 3 star hotels - with good furnishings, a very comfortable bed and a marvellous bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and shower. The pool outside is not big, perhaps 10m max, but fine for some relaxing end to end stuff. There is a pleasant terrace around the pool and a spacious lounge. The hotel is situated on an attractive grass area, much loved by visitors and locals strollng along the sea front.

Breakfast is fine, although perhaps a little expensive as an extra, but with plenty of choice, and the staff will rustle up fresh scrambled eggs for you without hesitation. Although there are plenty of places to eat in Pesaro - a few interesting old osterie, and most of the larger hotels have restaurants - we ate at the Vittoria one night (there's a special rate for guests) and found the meal very good indeed.

Parking is on street, but on very quiet lanes around the hotel.

Of course, not havng stayed anywhere else in Pesaro it isn't possible to compare, but my guess is that you won't find better than the Vittoria in the town, and it is the only hotel we saw which seemed to have any character. Highly recommended.

Although hotel is little classic, room was very big and nice marble bathroom.
What makes this hotel very special is the staff.
They were so cheerful and helpful trying hard to make your trip a memorable one.
We had dinner one night at the hotel, which turned out perfect choice !
Seafood dishes were so good yet price was reasonable.

One minor thing, there is a another hotel right in front of this one so ocean view will be "partial ocean view" from every room.

Overall our stay here represents a highlight of our vacation this year. The hotel is well maintained with exceptionally helpful staff; they acted as thought the 'extra mile' wasn't far enough to go. We had our choice of two rooms on the top floor, they were spacious and well lit with as good a view as could be expected considering the hotel next door.
Breakfasts are not included with rate and could be a little better, but, all things considered were not a bad value. "On street" parking outside hotel or in nearby garage were very convenient. Overall my only complaint was the weather, which sadly was not under their control.
