What better place to be on Easter. Truly beautiful and a must see in a life time. My wife and I visited for both Good Friday and Easter.

St. Peter's Basilica is certainly a must see if you are visiting Rome. It is very beautiful indeed though some members of my family thought it was a little overwhelming. It is truly an architectural marvel.
We did not have to wait too long in the queue which was surprising but I expect that on some days it might be more busy.
If you plan to visit, I recommend going to the toilet before entering the Vatican because I could only find PortaCabin type things which are completely discusting. Also remember to wear long sleeves and trousers otherwise you won't be allowed in.

Visited just days before the Pope's Easter event. This basilica is just incredible. The scale is deceptive. I would focus on a statue (10 foot tall) and then turn around and get blown away by the size of the place.
Long queues, but once inside the crowds are swallowed up by the sheer scale.
If you're in Rome, you can't miss St Peters. And it's free to get in.

This is a must-see for anyone visiting Rome. It is absolutely beautiful. We climbed the stairs of the Basilica to the top. I injured my knee attempting to climb too quickly through the spiraling stairs upward, as there was a very long line of people behind me. Take your time climbing the stairs - don't let the crowd rush you.
