My wife had been to Rome twice before , and never seen the Sistine chapel , we went on a busy Friday , and the queues were very short , took us about 15 minutes to go through security and get tickets , so not worth paying for the guided tours that everyone is trying to sell you
The chapel is in the Vatican Museum and this alone is fantastic , amazing tapestries and paintings , together with the Frescos o walls and ceilings , leading to the Sistine chapel .
The ceiling there is everything I thought , fantastic colours and details , even more remarkable , considering when it was done .
Well worth the visit and at 16euros , good value , as we had a limited time , but still spent an hour there , easy to spend several hours if you wanted
