This small, family run, hotel is located in central Tivoli. The interconnecting room was decorated sympathetically and complemented the 17th century building. The room was clean. The interconnecting room had 1 King and 2 singled beds which were all proper full sized beds. The room was set up to accommodate three persons which was good. The room size was spacious and above European average. The WiFi was mostly good. The use of fans in the rooms was sufficient in lowering the temperature to an acceptable level in September thus avoiding the need for the €10 air conditioning surcharge.

The bathroom was modern with brass tap fittings and a shower. The shower thermostat was a bit temperamental and the pressure could do to be slightly higher. It was good that natural ventilation was available in the bathroom.

The receptionist upon check in provided a street map of Tivoli marking the opening times of the key sites and marking recommended restaurants, some of which residents are entitled to a 10% discount, which was helpful. I particularly liked Il Cioccio.

The breakfast was not included in our room rate and was an additional €7 which must be pre-booked. It would be helpful if a cut off time was provided. The breakfast was of Italian style and included fruit salad, jam tart, a croissant, toast, yogurt, hot drinks and fruit juice. Whilst reasonable it was very sweet by English standards. I would have liked muslei and a boiled egg to be on offer instead of some of the sweeter items. Despite the organisational benefits of offering all guests the same breakfast it may suit a greater range of tastes if a number of options from a list could be selected upon booking the breakfast. The range of drinks on offer was good. The blood orange juice was very nice and something a bit different. Some of the fresh fruit was slightly under ripe.

I felt that the interconnecting room price is not quite as good value as the double rooms upon booking.

This B & B is an undiscovered gem in Tivoli. Totally refurbished inn, beautifully done.
Staff went out of their way to be helpful.
Also, it is a great location within walking distance of many of Tivoli's attractions.

Great location for visiting Villas D'Este, Gregoriana and Adriana and for the town itself. Well finished traditional decor with all amenities. Typical, good Italian breakfast. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent trattoria recommendations where discounts had been agreed. Would not hesitate to recommend.

For a bed and breakfast in a narrow street in Tivoli, we were happily surprised to find the outstanding quality of this hotel. The email they send you on how to get around Tivoli (and find parking, for one) is complete and comprehensive. Since the streets in a Tivoli are small and a lot are one-way streets, using GPS or google or waze to get there is good, and their instructions on finding parking is on their email. There is a church a few meters before the hotel, and a pay parking right beside it. The email message included a specific note that the payment is in cash -as do quite a number of establishments in Tivoli. As soon as we checked in, the ladies at the front desk gave us a map and pointed out the places to visit in Tivoli. For location, Catillo is very well located- a few hundred meters to its left is the Villa d'Este and to the right is the Villa Gregorian.

The rooms are very clean, with its sealed stone floors and sandstone details in the toilet and walls. Everything is perfect and well-provided for in the WC. Breakfast is basic, but the fresh fruits and juices and the graciousness of the place and people make up for it.

Lovely experience in this hotel.

Lovely small B&B centrally located in Tivoli-- an ideal spot for an exploration of this beautiful town. Minutes from both Villa Gregoriana and Villa D'Este, but quiet and just a little outside of the tourist crunch. The building is stylish and well-appointed, the room was spacious and cool (even on a very hot summer day) and the staff was friendly and helpful. Even the parking, which we heard could be challenging in Tivoli, was well-provided for-- we received clear instructions from the B&B before we arrived. This is a gem!
