We stayed for 1 night to break our trip from Florence to Naples. I chose to the hotel as it was close to the motorway, but the GPS took us into Tivoli and 40 minutes later, after stopping and asking a couple of times we finally found it. The hotel is basic, but very comfortable and the staff are very helpful, so it was good for a stopover. The area however is run down and extremely dirty with rubbish everywhere. We were uncomfortable about wandering out to find something to eat, so we went next door to the "Duca d'Este' hotel for a meal . The service there was very good but the meal was average for the price.

The hotel itself is very basic. Rooms only. It is attached to another hotel 'Duca D'Este'. The rooms are very basic and definitely on the lower side of average. No tea/coffee, no iron, a mini bar with 5 items and no beer/alcohol at all. You can however get dinner and drinks from the hotel next door. I don't really knock the hotel for this as the location alone shows you what you are paying for. You will not be staying here if you are on holidays in Rome. This is very far from the centre so it will always be a business hotel or a location you will not spend much time. The service is very good. An absolute gent of a man looks after you so well while he is here. He is very charming and he is very polite and helpful. He speaks more than enough English that he can always help.I found further charm in the fact his dog 'Bianca' is never far away but never in the way or over-powering to turn you off. The broadband was very good so I had no issues working or surfing the net. If you do stay here, make sure to plan a way to town that is efficient and accessible. I was lucky enough to have a local host me so I had a car to take me around. Overall, this hotel is price efficient for short stays but always be sure to plan well when staying this ar outside the city centre.

Room Tip: There is access to a fantastic pool area.

The hotel gives you only one key for room. I went out at 8:00h PM to buy asprin, leaving the key with my friend (that was drying her hair in our room). When I came back the entry door was locked and the night porter was at the "Duca d'Este" hotel. I was locked outside the hotel for 15 minutes. When I finally got in, the porter was angry and asked why I didn't have the key with me. With two door keys for each room this could be avoided since the door key also open the entry door. Breakfast is not good and free WiFi in the lobby only: I don't recommend this hotel.

We stayed 4 nights (pre-paid, couldn't cancel but would have if we could get our $ back). It was clean however not in a good area. Located close to the main road going through town and traffic noise was unbearable and we couldn't get to sleep at night. The front desk attendants could not speak English and the air conditioning is only used 2 months (July and August) a year therefore we had to open the windows for air. The pollution and noise was horrible. Would not recommend this place.

Room Tip: If you decide to stay here make sure you get a room on the back side of the hotel but you will most...

Spent one night here, hotel was clean and certainly would have been good in it's day. Now quite dated. Breakfast was basic, but good enough. Nowhere near to buy a meal. The whole area is a bit derelict. Not a great area, the area surrounding the supermarket up the road was dirty. We could not find anywhere acceptable to eat and evening meal so had to buy what we could from the supermarket and eat in. It was quite a strange place!

Signor Mario was as friendly as a receptionist can be!! The only big problem is that in www.decolar.com it says that the hotel is 20 min. from Rome city centre. That may be by car, but not by train! It took me and my friend a lot of patience and effort to finally find it. We took a train to Tiburtina from Fiumiccino and that was a big mistake. BTW, poor tourist information at the airport. And on top of all we got a fine because we failed to stamp the tickets!!! Why did no one tell us that???? The guy could see we had just arrived in the country and has actually bought the trains tickets!!!!?????

Our first stop on our Italy trip was Tivoli - we arrived at Fiumicino & went directly to the hotel - easy to reach. The reception was very pleasant & very helpful in guiding us on what to see in the area. Upon entering our room - what a lovely surprise but to be welcomed with a lovely bowl of fresh fruit! The room was clean & comfortable. The location of the hotel easy to access including the free & sufficient parking. It had a lovely trellised garden that you could enjoy an after dinner drink. Would highly recommend.
