We ate here once - the salmon pizza was good and the mushroom pasta was OK. We had dessert which was good. The waiter was friendly if a bit pushy.

There was a basket of bread on each table which we didn't touch so complained when it was included on the bill and we didn't pay for this. Also I felt that the 15% service charge was excessive. Shame about this as it meant that we didn't go back.

We voted this the second best in the week we were in Rome. Its opposite the " La Caravella " which we decided was the best but this place has a lot more atmosphere and is twice the price. Open fires cook steaks cut to order and the service is friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

We had a very nice meal at L'Isola della Pizza, the pasta was superb and the pizza was the best we have had in Rome. The service was on a perfect level, we got quick attention when we wanted it.
Al in all, an "Excellent" rating is a must

Good positioning and nice interior design aren't enough for a good restaurant. If you think there are other things like, service or value for money worth putting into balance, then consider twice before entering.

First, on the appetizers, disregard the plural when it comes to <bruschette>, you'll only get one poor piece for each order. Skipping this unlucky antipasti choice of ours, we were also confronted with delays in delivery for the main course - first there came the pizza for one of us and then in 5-10 minutes, the other 3 pastas. And it wasn't yet crowded by then. And when I thought that was it... and just about to taste the spaghetti, I saw myself quoting Matrix - "There is no spoon!".... and it was like this even 5 minutes after asking TWICE for one. Not cool for a fancy restaurant.

On the good side, the interior is nice to look at, aaaaaaaand that's it. Bad decision on our side that Saturday evening. Hope this review saves you from the same bad taste we had afterwards.

Or maybe we were just unlucky that evening :) who knows.. but don't say you haven't been warned :)

We found this restaurant close to our accommodation, and visited it three times. It had a really good atmosphere, and gets full by late evening most nights - mostly locals in family groups which is a good sign. the downside is that the staff are often rushed, so you may have to wait a bit.The food is good quality at reasonable prices, but beware the service charge.
