Merulana Street connects two of the great churches of Rome: St Maria Maggiore on one end and St Jean Lateran (San Giovanni in Laterano) on the other, so if you have an interest in the churches of Rome it is quite possible that you will pass by da Michele, 4 or 5 blocks from St Maria.
We were there with friends and their 2 young children. We ate a typical Roman meal of antipasti, primi (pasta of various kinds) and secondo (meat and fish dishes), and accompaniments. The meals were standard without being exceptional, service was good. The price for this lunch, with 1 litre of house wine was a little more than €100. About average for this kind of restaurant
