“The way Pizza should be”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 16, 2012

We could have stayed here all day. One stop away from the Vatican, Pizzarium has built its amazing reputation upon the amazing crust and creative toppings. We tried one with roasted potato and Parmesan, one with ratatouille, a margarita with fresh mozzarella and basil and one with black chickpeas and mortadella. The rossa sauce is so simple and so good. With a small cup of house red out of a box to top it off, Pizzarium is a must see in Rome.

“Yum!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2012

We found out about the Pizzarium on Anthony Bourdain's "The Layover." We were surrounded by Romans when we ate here. The pizza was great with lots of "gourmet" like choices. It's sold by the kilo and you can also get a beer or glass of wine. There is no seating, so you can stand outside while you eat or take it to go somewhere.

“Worth the walk”

Ate lunch here today. Amazing assortment of fresh and top quality toppings and the crust is to die for. Small small place so be prepared to eat standing up or on the park bench outside.

“Great selection and delicious! Fast too!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

Pizzarium is definitely out of the way but my wife and I made it there 3 out of the 4 days we were in Rome. It is roughly 15 minutes walking from the Vatican but right next to the Cipro metro stop and we were staying next to the Lepanto stop. This made it really convenient to go there and grab a few slices of the most delicious pizza we had in Rome.

The pizza is sold by weight. They usually have a pretty good selection of different pizzas with different toppings. When you select a pizza, they will ask you how much to cut off and then they will weigh it. This allowed us to select from a variety of pizzas each time without having to repeat a single pizza. The ingredients were fresh and the crust of the pizza was excellent.

The service is always fast and the friendly folks that work there are more than happy to explain each pizza and its ingredient. They have a good selection of wines and beer too. If you don't want to spend 3 hours in a typical Italian restaurant in Rome, this place is a great choice!
